Just wondering if I should buy it from the Origin sale. Any other games you guys recommend? I already picked up Battlefield 3. Don't forget to use BF3E3 for Close Quarters DLC for free

Did the ending really ruin the game?

Nah, it was dumb and disappointing but doesn't ruin the game.

Also, (even though many people who have never played it seem to hate it) the multiplayer is quite good. I don't even like multiplayer games and I enjoyed it!

It's probably dead by now. It was a generic horde mode with little to maintain novelty (though I agree that it was quite fun), burdened by a P2W and imbalanced random drop system. That plus the discontinuation of updates means that when I last played it just before the updates stopped there was already trouble finding populated games.

Good luck in any case.

Depending on how attached you are to the series and its characters as a whole, it will be either weird, disappointing, or an infuriating betrayal on Bioware's part. Objectively speaking, it wasn't written well at all. Plot holes, inconsistent characterization, impossible situations, and plenty of fridge logic abound. By the end you'll probably understand why a sizeable and vocal fraction of the fan base concluded that the ending was a dream sequence.

I'd say $10 is worth it though. At least it's still not Invisible War.

No, you just have to be able to actually think a little for yourself to get the ending.

Oh, it's 50% off all right, but that makes it $30. :)

On a serious note, if it seriously is the price you'd be better off buying it off Amazon or some place

I'm not overly anxious to get the game, but probably would at $10.

It's too bad you missed the Amazon sale for $6. But still, if you enjoyed the other two, it's worth $10.

Crysis 1 and 3 are far superior. Crysis 1 for being more open game and tactical game in general (being basically a succesor to the original Far Cry), and Crysis 3 is a simple upgrade on C2's CoDified formula.

Haven't played Warhead myself.

Unlikely.

Because it's the rushed, disappointing ending of an otherwise decent series. Not worth anyone's time, let alone money.

Of course, some people like it. But then, gamers are not a homogenous group, so gathering the opinions of strangers will not tell you whether you will like a game.

I'd say that its worth starting from the beginning. There are a lot of choices that carry over throughout the series, and its really rewarding to encounter the little details like that.

I really enjoyed it. I'd say its definitely worth $10 if you enjoyed the first two. Lots of epic moments. The series was constantly evolving, so each game plays a little differently. I enjoyed ME2 more, but I sure as shit don't miss the mining.

How?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yup, I say it does. Especially if you played the first 2. However ME3 is 90% action, the RPG element is kinda gone but still cool action. However, I say you get the PC version if you want some cool graphics. The graphics on PS3 and Xbox is kinda lame.
As for which one of them is better I'd say 1 since it has the RPG element, even though my personal favorite is 2.

Stop at the second game and come up with your own canon ending. You don't want to experience the horror.
