I once went to a castle and bought a wooden sword as a souvenir. I then took the train back with it in my lap.

Uhm when i was a kid i was afraid of trains just because of the loud sound the horn made...i nearly pooped myself :( i actually did....

Not realy funny but I lost my dad once at a subway station. Shitty multi level design.

I took the stairs and he went for the escalator so we both ended up on different floors.

Early one morning I drove into the city to the train station because my mother was arriving. I waited and waited until everyone had debarked then, when the train had left and she had not appeared, I asked the ticketing people if maybe she had fallen asleep or something, forgotten to get off, and could they check or call the train or something. It turns out she gave me the date she was boarding but that was in the evening and the trip lasts through the night and into the next day. I was 24 hours early!

Not sure if this is "fun" but in India the train bathroom was just a hole in the ground. Your waste just went straight onto the tracks.
