When I was 15, I took a three hour train ride to visit my grandmother. An ex-con who carried all his luggage in trash bags apparently thought I was cute and insisted on coming over to sit next to me (in a car with mayyyyyybe five people in total). He proceeded to tell me about his time in jail, working on a boat in Tiajuana, offered me alcohol, and asked for my phone number.

My funniest train experience was when I was a kid, my dad jokingly told us that it was our stop. So naturally, being the excited kid I was, I immediately ran for the exit. But then I slipped and nearly went through the gap between the train and the platform. Good thing my dad caught me just in time. So now I make sure to always look at the floor when I exit the train. XD

PS. I can't believe I actually laughed on the 18 clues joke. Have a bump! :3

I've ridden trains only a few times... I guess the funniest thing was boarding a train behind a group of dudebros who'd purchased their tickets the same night and didn't have reserved seats. Train staff had to carefully move them around where they wouldn't be in a reserved seat between stops.

I take the train to work every day and I don't have a single funny story. How disappointing.
