I recently played syberia II through. Did not like it very much it was okish.
I liked Syberia I more, but if suffered from the same design flaws - mainly the no quick travel and repetitive animations. Especially was annoying when you got stuck somewhere. The setting was beautiful, but both games dragged on a lot and some frustrating pixel hunting.

Hopefully this one will be better from the game mechanics part.

Awesome! I never thought we'd ever get another entry in the series. And this looks very promising indeed.

they're not my absolute favourites, I tend to prefer games that feel less lonely and stories that unfold at a slightly faster pace, but it does make for a really different atmosphere than most such games so, while I had to be in the right mood for them, I did enjoy the first two. I'd say I'm more attentively curious concerning the third than excited for now, but that's generally the case with sequels

Looks great. Syberia is one of the best adventure series.

Oh yeah. I'm a little worried about how they focused on telling it is cinematic, movie-like… I prefer adventure games to remain adventure games… but hopefully Sokal's contribution alone may balance out any possible overconsolified aspects of the game. (Assuming it'll be a game and not an interactive movie.)
Still, Syberia 1-2, despite their sluggish pacing, are among the best point 'n' clicks, so I am excited to see a third game with the same designer in the chair.
