i looked to the site and you are right, there is no Steam key only PC Download. damn :(

What do they deliver them as then? People who just bought the Square Enix Surprise Bundle that just went on had a bunch of Steam keys because they were all being given away on this site.

I was a bit concerned about this, but figured it was probably just a mistake and ordered anyway - I can confirm that FFX/X-2 from the SE UK store is a Steam key, just got mine.

I think the FF7 PC re-release was Square Enix experimenting to see if they could go it alone instead of giving Steam a share. As far as I can see, pretty much everything they've made for PC since then has gone through Steam only, except for the FF MMOs, the Windows Store version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, and maybe some other minor exceptions.

i read on reddit that you get now a steam key for FF7.

At least the european store does.

i think there is no Steam Key, because on other Games is in Requirements a Steam Account is needed and on DQ and FF X there is not :(

Pretty easy to buy on the EU site. Just put your address as whatever your address is except in a european country. Pay with Paypal. SE US store sucks anyway. You will have to confirm via a mobile phone txt but you can use a US phone no problem. I think used a vpn during signup but I don't think it was actually needed.

Well, I wonder if it's region locked. Some people say you can just buy it anyway if you add a fake address. Maybe you can ask a friend in the UK in the worst case, or someone..

Does it work? The code isn't supposed to be live yet. Would have used the 20% on Dragon Quest Heroes had I known the codes worked. Thought they were supposed to be live in January.
