i really think sales on gog didn went good.

Have to admit I didn't expect them to publish it on steam that soon though

CD Projekt Red has never indicated any opposition toward publishing on Steam. For example- as I recall and Google seems to confirm- with the exception of the very first game, all the previous Witcher content (even The Witcher Adventure Game) was released simultaneously to both GOG and Steam.
Rather, Gwent's current exclusivity seems to be a special case, perhaps due to how it integrates into Galaxy. Thronebreaker has some integration with Gwent, which may explain why it was released on Steam a month later than GOG [or it could be indicative of a change in CD Projekt's release policies].

Feel sorry for those that got in from GOG early. It must be to do with regional pricing, but for me it's $12 on Steam and $29.99 on GOG.

nah, he meant about Steam not allowing to have that sort of stuff on thumbnail/image/poster
