Won a gift, received it but found out after it's region specific...

give it back to the giveaway creator, ask if he can provide you with a ROW (non-region-locked) version.

if he does not, mark the game as not received after 7 days and move on.

in the mean time do not mark the giveaway as received, as you could get banned for not activating the game (if you've already marked it as received you can always remove the flag by clicking again).

Send the gift back and ask for a ROW copy.
Then if you get a ROW copy, you activate it and mark as Received.
If not, mark as Not Received.
