It's not actually. John Griffin created the show and he has never been involved in Lost. Well, except copying it a little for this show.

Silo is awesome.

Seems like it's not available for streaming here, but it looks really nice, thanks for bringing it to my attention

Huh interesting i've been watching series a lot and haven't seen this one before. Lost is one of my favorite all time but this one also reminded me under the dome which wasn't that great but still i've enjoyed it. I'll definitely give this a go thank you.

Exactly the same situation for me - the whole concept seems cool, but starting with the crash already.... its fascinating how on TV no one seems to have brakes and common sense - everyone is just slamming gas and trying to evade others last second, but somehow have time to press the horn. And the absolute dense characters just so the plot would make sense is even more annoying. Cmon - that little girl who opens a window and gets killed..... I am pretty sure kids that age wouldn't even approach the window if tapping started.. maybe they would but they would run away once they saw some crazy looking lady staring inside.

I haven't seen the show, but the "crazy lady" says "I've missed you so much", and the child also smiles when they see her, making it seem it's someone they know (probably a deceased grandmother they were attached to). Also no horrible thing has happened to them so far so there's no reason for the child to be warry. Most children are curious and naΓ―ve so it's not entirely implausible.

I remember I was looking for a tv show like Evil and/or 30 Monedas, that I stumbled upon it. I could barely watch through 4 or sth episodes before I quit. I don't really know if it would take off from there or sth and turn into anything better or greater but from what I watched the dialogues were cheesy (and not in a good way tho!) and the characters were not so much into them, the only cool thing about it was its premise and some of the actings. umm altho do check out Evil or 30 Coins if u r a fan of Horror/thriller, they're amazing,.

I did like Evil. Will check 30 Coins. Speed and quality is not the best but found 30 Coins with English subtitles thanks also. Not too similar to Evil but Preacher and Ash vs Evil Dead was cool. Brand New Cherry Flavor also Archive 81 & Crazyhead maybe but they both got cancelled.

Watched season one but the show felt really unsatisfying. Nothing was explained and even the last episode kept introducing new, random elements. It's not even like Lost where at least some things can be theorized about. Here nothing makes sense and it felt like they were just deepening the mystery without giving us anything in return. Did S2 answer any of the questions S1 raised?

I watched the first season, but really didn't feel the need to watch the second one.

Just like Lost they just pack on mystery after mystery... and nothing ever really gets resolved. I remember watching Lost and the massive letdown at the end when it all just went nowhere. There was so much build-up and weird little details all over the place, but none of it mattered. The writers had no clue what they were doing.

This feels exactly like that. Not falling for it again, so I'll wait until the show is done and reviews are out.

What do u think is the best way to watch Lost now with the knowledge you have today? Maybe stop at some point? I only remember watching the beginning, maybe first season back in tha day.

I would say the first episodes were brilliant and worth watching just to get a feel for it, but the show as a whole? It doesn't go anywhere interesting, and the writers literally just wrote whatever they came up with episode to episode - if that doesn't bother you, there might be some enjoyment. It's very difficult to recommend though.

I see but is there a certain point in the show when it stops being brilliant, like when the one part of a show is great and the other is not there's often some general opinion among the fans as to when it's best to stop watching to not ruin the impression. The whole show is alot of episodes.

It's hard to say, for me the ending of the show was everything and it missed the mark by such a margin it's hard see past that. These shows, both From and Lost, build up more and more of the "mystery" over time. And when you don't get a satisfying resolution to that mystery, it's very difficult to judge the rest of it on it's own.

Purposefully not watching how it ends sort of defeats the whole point of watching it in the first place though, at least in my opinion. Lost is specifically about that resolving that mystery. That is why you'd want to watch it. It's not like a Game of Thrones, where not watching the final season improves it greatly.

I understand, the ending was dissapointing and ruined everything) I think these kinda shows are all about the process, best to enjoy it as they go, not knowing whats ahead is the best part, so better watch From now while it's hot, before they ruin everything, and if they don't - even better)

Haven't watched the 2nd season yet, watching Silo right now. Wasn't bad, certainly held my interest and I'll get to the 2nd season eventually but it does feel like one of those mystery shows that are written as they go, it just gets more and more bizarre and confusing but hey, the setting is fun

A lot of people are complaining about Silo being slow but I haven't found it so, unlike From.
At least Silo is based on original material so they know where they are going (yeah I realize that didn't help Game of Thrones in the end)

It definitely has Lost vibes, except much more brutal/intense and not quite as many likeable characters. Enjoying it so far.

now that you mention Lost, the actor on the FROM poster is the same one who plays Michael Dawson in Lost ;)

Stories like these are often disappointing. It's easy enough to spin an intriguing mystery, but the more mysterious and puzzling it grows, the harder it gets to write a satisfying continuation / ending. It increasingly looks like the showrunners are going to write themselves into a corner.

I thought season 1 was slow to get anywhere and only really started around 2-3 episodes before the finale, which is never a good sign for a show.
Then season 2 happened and pretty much went nowhere right from the get-go with fillers ahoy and then again started moving along around the end of the season with new elements thrown into the mix like magic and most likely they will be walked back in the first couple of episodes next season like season 1 finale destination was.

So yeah it's very reminiscent of Lost, as in the writers have no idea where they are going, are using personal melodrama to fill the void and are making it up as they go along toward the end of the season to get a decent cliffhanger they do not mean to do anything with later.
I realize it's a controversial opinion.

Some of the cast is also dreadful. Most of the cast really. There's a shit ton of characters and besides Perrineau, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Scott McCord (who plays Victor), the rest if meh to mediocre.

I watched both seasons. There is too much drama about characters I don't care about and it's really annoying how they never get together to talk about all the weird shit they experienced. Still gonna watch the third season but they really need to speed up
