Yes I just did. For ME 2 and ME 3. Origin detects your install folder after install. So you can just login and download the updates to the same folder. Saves having to download the installers separately

DLCs on Ubisoft are a bummer though and that's where I got a lot of issues in the past

I might add buying on Steam provides you the game on both platforms while buying on EA gives you the game for Origin only. Besides that I'm like many players not a big fan of EA in today's appearances so I like the idea of them being forced to share their profit with Valve (that said I'm not a big fan of Valve either).

thanks - figured out the custom suits and weapons are not bad for multiplayer from the deluxe edition - even though we're getting From Ashes DLC for free, it might be worth it for some to spend a few more to get the pre-order bonuses.
and with you on valve - but then I worry for EA being on life support and buying from steam will hopefully guarantee the game can still be playable if EA goes belly up.

After installing ME 3 on Steam and testing the game open the above link to the EA store and "buy" all available free DLCs and addons for 0.00. Now open Origin client and download of the additional content should start automagically.
