Need some help with setting my first giveaway

Issue is, reading and checking how to gift it i would need to do it on the steam launcher and adding the winner as a friend to then gift the game to them. and reading some of the discussions here it seems people are pretty much oblivious to this method and will most likely ghost you cuz no steam code to redeem instantly.

If I am getting this right, you are worried about people not responding/accepting friend request on steam, right?
Just add this in the GA description, and contact support if the winner doesn't respond within a few days.

And another thing i have a issue is that the code will only work for select countries on Latin America. Is there a tab on the giveaway section that says this?

Yes, when creating a GA you can select the regions out want to restrict the GA to. There are even some predefined regions (Latin America included I believe), but you can always select individual countries if needed.

To avoid trouble with unresponsive winners, I'd set a level restriction on your giveaway.

You can region restrict games.

It someone ignores you, you can reroll after a week.

Restricting the gift to people with levels reduces the chance of being ghosted. As less bots and more people familier with the site. However as it's already region restricted the higher the level the less likely you are to hit 5 entires, which is the minimum amount to recieve CV on giveaways with limitations.

If using the Steam gift method you'd have to friend the winner to send the gift.
Be sure to specify this in your giveaway that it is a "Steam gift " on the Steam platform and kindly ask that the winner keep and eye out on their Steam account for a request and the gift.
Another note is to keep a few screenshots until the winner confirms they received it. Just in case you have to contact support you have proof you did your part.
Honestly the way the Steam gift method works is kind of risky so you might want to put a level restriction on the GA and scout out the winner a bit before sending just to be safe. Sometimes SG system will show DLC or games as not owned and allow people who have it to join. Sometimes other issues happen where you might want to contact support to pick a new winner.
I've heard of some people who even schedule DM meet up times via Steam just to make sure the winner was there to receive the gift and click received in one go because like someone said people tend to stick to the SG site for giveaways for keys and are unaware of the other method.

If your key has region restrictions or just personal preference you can find the option to limit participates by country and entire regions presets.

Besides higher level or group giveaways, forum posts, GA description can help to clarify the situation,
you can set up any nonsensical Steam key as well. Like STEAM-GIFT1-ADDME, so if people check their wins for a key as usual, they'll see it as a message :)

Thanks for the results. So basically the region stuf is part of the giveaway already and i just need to check it to state the countries that can join.

And also set the level higher to have less chances of the person ghosting me. Well, alright, imma do just that. Will set it up later after i read the FAQ tab again more throughly. Thanks for the tips and help.

I want to advice that you set a minimum level for your GAs, i recommend min. level 2, because each one that gave one, not free, game is, at least, level 1.
Easy solution to hold the worst rulesbreakers, win resellers, autojoiner user and bots outside (40% of the level 0 accounts have infractions for unactivated or multiple wins + the ammount of used autojoiners are much more as in higher levels).
And besides that it lowers the cases of problems with your winners.

Scroll down to the bottom and look at the "per level" info and you see 970k are level 0, only around 165k have a level, 113k of them are level 1. So around 15% of the members from sg gave something and only 4% gave more as 5 games.

Ps.: In the last days got 22 autojoiners a suspension because of one of my group members and my reports. All of them were level 0-5, the most (14) level 0-1.
