I actually enjoyed this game, though. It wasn't perfect, but I definitely don't feel like I wasted my time on it in any way. I strongly disagree that it is a "shit game."
Plus, if this is actually a case of the publisher not paying the developer, which it very well could be, your "quit supporting shit developers" line is flat-out wrong.

I have had that happen and also why i try not to keep bundle games and either give them on here or trade them.As they could also be given for free which has happened to me a couple times.
Also a lot bad bundles tend to throw one good game which seems like they do that in hopes someone will buy it for that one games,which i have and made GA for the rest on here but i am a lot more selective now due to keys being revoked or games going free i learned my lesson.

Yeah i guess that kind sucks but did you mean support like more story or dlc or what not.Or did you mean support like in fixing issues as seeing how basic VN's are i would think they would not take much effort to polish and make decent if the person has decent skill.After all look what one guy has done with Stardew Valley.

I bought Paranatuactical Activity to support the developer and so on just to have them melt down on Gaben and you should see how many then said i was a idiot for buying that trash to start with.So yeah i have been judged.Which was in a cheap bundle and hence at that moment i learned that cheap is not always the best choice as that was the only good game in the bundle imo and even then shit went wrong.When you buy cheap or questionable games you can expect to not always get quality and good service.

If the publisher did not payed the developer and the developer therefore made the keys invalid, you have to get a refund from the publisher (who sold you the keys).

The developer cannot revoke keys, only a publisher can. Granted, often they are the same, but the distribution/publishing parts are at the publisher. The developer can issue a DCMA claim, sure. This is why in the opening post this was mentioned. But there should be now way that they would ratify a claim like that without a court order saying that the publisher broke contract, therefore they lost their control over the published keys. (Well, maybe in the US they would be okay to accept any DCMA claim, but in the EU it is a slower process and usually handled by a firm specialised for that.)

Valve follows the copyright laws like Google. They cannot just make up their own rules if they are contradicting regulations. I know many people think they are like some god-like gaming entity, but they are in reality just a distributor company like the US GameStop, nothing more. And in the US they follow US regulations/procedures, their European branch located in Luxembourg follows EU regulations/procedures.

kind of sucks as I had 2 keys which I had no use for, which are now useless, I don't understand this trend of invalidating legally purchased keys.
It's essentially theft since we purchased the keys with no expiration. Another developer that will be added to my never buy from list. I suppose they can come make matters right but ultimately the negative press of invalidating keys which people purchased isn't worth the few extra dollars they may or may not make..

Thank for the heads up Archi. I had a train with 2 IG dud keys for Axyos and Days of Custody (bought from IG) but lucky I had a couple of backup DIG keys for those games or I would have had problems.
But when I read your OP this Shan Gui case is worse because all keys are invalidated so there are no backup keys anymore...
