Cherry Poppers: group for the unlucky (group closed)

It was an interesting journey and I wish to thank all who made it possible: Contributors who generously gave gifts to the unlucky, community for its support & kind words and lastly support members who endured our way too many reroll tickets.

You have my gratitude.

For those that still remain unlucky: There exists few unlucky groups. One could try applying in them. I also recommend visiting forum often for puzzles and hidden giveaways.

Finally some statistics:

Founded 15th August 2012. Closed 13th May 2013.
Sent over 313 invites (for cherry position). Small number of them were rejected for various reasons.
Out of those unlucky cherries, 270 won a game either in group or outside it. Fastest wins inside group were within few hours after joining. Some people won during the application process itself (waiting to get invited).
Stats of cherries at the time of invite. Average number of wins: 0.27 (DLCs, betas, soundtracks, public giveaways with 100% chance to win and in the beginning also developer giveaways). Average number of entries: 1013. Average member time: 5.3 months (actually higher as many members were older than year but it only showed as 12 months).
Highest number of entries for cherry when invited: 3065 (had zero wins too).
Group had 110 poppers. Some never made a giveaway but that was not mandatory.
There were 276 giveaways (counting only group giveaways i.e. no private ones), some of them had more than one gift. 63 giveaways ended without any entries. Range was broad: from Fortix to Bioshock Infinite. Lowest chance of winning was 1/56 and highest was 1 (multiple cases).

Hello, so here I am again, after winning a game with this awesome steam group months ago.

As you can see, I'm still quite unlucky, anyway, I know how this group works, so if you dont accept me I'll understand it. I'm sure there are a lot ot players with less luck than me :).

Yep, I see, that's right, but if you check my profile it's like I win a game every...1450 giveaways, so it's like having more than 500 entries whitout win... :/

Did you read the guidelines?

And I quote:

"Negative criteria for entry

-Breaking rules in SteamGifts.com. Severe cases will also result in permanent ban from the group.

-Inappropriate behavior which includes but is not limited to harassing others and being generally rude.

-Having (non-full game) wins. One or more full game wins means direct rejection of application."

Anyways, it's called Cherrypopper for a reason. Once you've won a giveaway, your metaphorical "cherry" has been popped. It doesn't regrow back...lolz

I understand, I just have tried to join in again because, if I dont remember bad, the guy who created the group said maybe it was possible to join the group again in a future.

As I said in my 1st commentary, I'll understand if I can't join the group again, it's simple.

Hello again Wado. As the group was still young, I considered that as a possibility. At the moment, group only allows one win. This might of course change but I consider that a bit unlikely. As you are behind your estimates, I wish you good luck in future giveaways.

I've read the whole guideline file. I noticed near the top it stated that there was a password somewhere in there. I'm not sure what this means. But I hope I'll get it when/if you ask. ^_^;

It was a developer giveaway, but it wasn't a 100% win. So it still requires an amount of luck, hence considered a win.

Being a developer giveaway does not matter. What matters is its state (e.g. only beta) and chance (possibility to lose).
