Have added a few interesting entries to my wishlist this week, figured I would share:

Cloudpunk - https://store.steampowered.com/app/746850/Cloudpunk/

Your name is Rania. This is your first night working for Cloudpunk, the semi-legal delivery company based in the sprawling city of Nivalis. You go everywhere, from the Marrow below to the spires that pierce the grey clouds high above before scraping the edge of the troposphere. No delivery job is too dangerous, and no one is faster than a Cloudpunk driver.

Paws and Soul - https://store.steampowered.com/app/911510/Paws_and_Soul/

Paws and Soul is a third-person adventure game about rebirth, where you will visit a mysterious forest as a wolf. The story about a man that you’ll see with animal eyes is extended by fascinating gameplay focused on exploration and searching for collectibles. Look for clues about your past life, reveal bonus stories about other people and enjoy breathtaking views. You are completely safe here, so relax and let your curiosity run wild! Find out how the lives of the wolf and the human are connected and reveal the secret of reincarnation.

Moving Out - https://store.steampowered.com/app/996770/Moving_Out/

It’s orientation day at the Smooth Move company. To become certified Furniture Arrangement & Relocation Technician (F.A.R.T.), employees need to pop the training tape into the VCR and take in the dos and don’ts of moving furniture. Train alone or with friends in this action, puzzle, physics based moving simulator. Expect plot twists, irreverent humor, cameos and borderline trademark infringing scenarios as you complete the 50+ levels. With party mode you'll be able to compete for the highest score locally or against the community.

Any unique, upcoming games pique your interest recently? Tell us about them!

Since no-one else has mentioned it yet:

Indivisible- It's being made by Lab Zero, the guys that made Skullgirls, so that guarantees a lot of care is being put into it. People seem to be comparing it to Valkyrie Profile (I haven't played Valkyrie Profile so I can't confirm or deny any similarities). Here's some demo gameplay. :)

Adding 2 more amazing games :)

1. Neo Cab

Stay human in a world overcome by automation. Play as Lina, one of the last human driver-for-hire on the streets of Los Ojos. Your friend and only lifeline has gone missing; with no money and nowhere to stay, the only thing you can do is keep driving. Choose what passengers to pick up and how you engage with them to learn their stories.

I've just played its demo and wow! Mind blowing stuff! :)

Really like how it delves into the feels (emotion) and explores the importance of being/staying human in a futuristic world almost completely taken over by technology. Really makes you think about what's going to happen to our world considering how much more reliant people are becoming to tech. It's a bit like a visual novel though so expect lots of dialogues and lots of reading! Hopefully, they will add in some quality voice acting before they release the game.

Give it a shot if you've got the time: https://store.steampowered.com/app/794540/Neo_Cab/ :)

If not, here's a gameplay vid for the demo.

2. In Other Waters - nice pun btw :)

In Other Waters casts you as an AI operator, guiding a stranded xenobiologist as they explore and study a beautiful and strange alien ocean.

Besides the unique concept, I absolutely love how this game is so easy-to-grasp and intuitive. Despite the lack of a tutorial, I've managed to figure out how most things work within minutes. There are also lots of stuff for you to discover on the alien planet as you play and it's story-driven too - you'll eventually learn more about the xenobiologist that you're guiding.

You can try demo as well if you got the time: https://store.steampowered.com/app/890720/In_Other_Waters/

If not, here's a gameplay vid for the demo.

Afterlight

Afterlight is a puzzle-adventure game with environmental narrative in 2.5D. You play as Xin, an astronaut trapped on a mission on Titan. After an accident, in which the rest of the crew does not survive, will be forced to solve the mission in solitary discovering in the process disturbing events that will question their perception of reality.

At first I thought that this is a new game by the developers, Playdead or Tarsier Studios. But nope! Though the devs do say it's inspired by Journey and Inside, and yeah, can definitely see those influences with the pretty colors Journey has and the 2.D linear, with a side-view point Inside possesses.

I'm already really interested in this. The graphics and the way the character moves is already a 👍🏻from me. I read their Kickstarter page too and it's really well presented with images & information. Here's some gifs they posted:

Anyone else looking forward to this? Or how do you feel/think about games like with this style, etc?

Gladiabots

I saw the announcement that Gladiabots has been released and is now out of early access.

It seems to be an AI-based arena combat that has single player modes, cross-platform asynchronous multiplayer, and tournaments.

As someone who likes doing a little programming but doesn't want to do it for a living, I'm hooked and downloaded the Android game! I assume it and the PC version are comparable since they're both made in Unity, presumably just with different controls/interfaces.

Automachef - A resource management puzzler where you design kitchens, program machinery and watch your genius come to life! It’s time to engineer tomorrow’s kitchen, today! [transport belts <3]

The Hand of Merlin - Turn-based rogue-lite RPG in which Arthurian legend clashes with sci-fi horror. Recruit mortal heroes and explore medieval lands assaulted by an otherworldly evil. Search for the lost fragments of your soul, scattered across the multiverse - and save as many worlds as you can.

Inmost - An atmospheric, story-driven puzzle platformer, following three playable characters in one dark, interconnected story. In an abandoned castle, you’ll need to explore every nook and cranny, avoid detection, slice through enemies, and spring deadly traps to escape the evil that lurks within... [published by Chucklefish]

Mutazione - A mutant soap opera where small-town gossip meets the supernatural.

Stela - Cinematic, atmospheric platformer about a young woman witnessing the final days of a mysterious ancient world. [might be not that unique though]

The Tenants - Become a landlord and deal with problematic tenants as you build your rental property empire. Decide how to react to annoyed neighbours or police interventions. Will you rent your apartment to a college couple or an older lady with four cats?

Unlucky Seven - will take you on a space walk and tell you a story about love, hate, and craving for human flesh. [an adventure with furries]

Adding a few more amazing ones - got all of these from the Epic Games Store but some of the games have Steam links :P

No demos this time around but you can check out The Cycle's Playtest on the Epic Store for free this weekend :)

*The Cycle

The Cycle is a competitive match-based first person quester, from the makers of Spec Ops: The Line. On Fortuna III you compete against other Prospectors or collaborate with them to claim as much resources as possible and escape before the planet crushes the life out of you.

*The Outer Worlds

The Outer Worlds is a new single-player sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division. As you explore a space colony, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.

*Industries of Titan - Mentioned before in a previous comment but I think it's worth mentioning again :P

Create a sprawling industrial city. Compete with the other Great Houses of Titan for resources, territory, and power. Do battle with ships, technology, influence, or the sheer productive power of your factories. Stake your claim to the Industries of Titan in this innovative sim/strategy game!

*The Pathless - Not on Steam/ on the Epic Games Store

From creators of ABZÛ comes a new atmospheric adventure- The Pathless.

Become the Hunter, a master of archery whose mission is to dispel the curse of darkness that grips her world. Forge a connection with an eagle companion as you explore a vast, forested island full of secrets. Solve puzzles in ancient ruins and test your skill in epic battles. Hunt corrupted spirits, but be careful not to become the hunted yourself. The bond with your eagle and the fate of the world hang in the balance.

*Rune II - Not on Steam/ on the Epic Games Store

Set in a dangerous Norse universe during the end of days, RUNE II is an epic action RPG where gods, beasts, and the last remaining humans struggle to survive.

You have been chosen by the gods to be Midgard’s savior - receive their blessings and powerful abilities as you endeavor to end Ragnarok! Race against time to prevent the trickster Loki from destroying Midgard as he keeps the world in a perpetual state of chaos.

Alone or with friends you will battle legions of Loki’s minions in brutal melee combat, travel the world collecting rare resources, locate precious artifacts to weaken the Realm Gate and craft the mightiest weapons the Nine Realms have ever seen.

Are you powerful enough to take down a god...or will a new age of darkness begin?

*Journey to the Savage Planet - Not on Steam/ on the Epic Games Store

Welcome to the Pioneer Program! In this upbeat & colorful, first-person adventure game you play as the newest recruit to Kindred Aerospace, which proudly touts its rating as the 4th Best interstellar exploration company.

Dropped onto an uncharted planet with little equipment and no real plan, you must explore, catalog alien flora and fauna and determine if this planet is fit for human habitation. Onward to adventure! Good luck – and mind the goo!

*Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey - Mentioned before by Canis

Survive your evolution in Neogene Africa starting 10 million years ago. Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is a third-person open world survival game where you Explore, Expand, and Evolve to advance your clan to the next generation in the exciting new adventure from the creator of Assassin’s Creed.

*Rebel Galaxy Outlaw - Not on Steam/ on the Epic Games Store

Out of cash, out of luck, out on the fringe. Juno Markev has a killer to tail, a debt to pay, and more trouble headed her way. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw takes place in a greasy, blue-collar world of outlaws, truckers, cops and thieves.

Strap into a variety of spacecraft, settle a score in a filthy space-bar over a game of 8-ball, rock out to over 24 hours of music, and engage in white-knuckle dogfights. In the Dodge Sector it’s hard to get by – and even harder to get even.

Although the games aren't out yet, I can already feel a massive hole burning in my pocket right now >.<
