Is it a bundle? Is it a store deal? It's a tired store deal!

[T1] I'll start my Crusade for the base game. And some DLCs.
[T2] BTA is my Way of Life.
[T3] I must own the whole Conclave of DLCs. All or nothing!
[Have] Bought these on the store before, for hundreds of dollars...
[Skip] Horse Lords sound like Oblivion's Horse Armor. I hate DLC.

Too bad I already own all of this already, very nice bundle if you want to complete the collection.

This is great... if you do not own any of the DLC. Only missing Holy Fury...

Holy Fury is in tier 3. Or did you mean you do only miss HF?

I do only miss HF. I love CK2 as much as any Paradox game but the number and price of all the DLCs is truly killing me :-D

I know that feeling. I got all expansions for CK2, EU4 and Stellaris. And recently I caved and bought up all but one for HoI4 too.
But at least I still manage to resist Imperator! ... till it becomes a good game. xD

I kinda want to go for tier 3 since it averages to more or less 1 euro per DLC, which is probably better than what their historical low will ever be otherwise. Obviously this had to happen in that specific month during which I already spent millions :/

wow, would not have expect a bundle with all expansions. like the newest one or two missing yes, but that's definitely a big step up in bundle quality from the last weeks/months.

Boomer question, but is it still possible to buy for example tier 1 now and add cash later to unlock t2/t3 or would I have to buy the whole tier again?

Crusaders Kings II: Royal Collection Bundle which currently retails on Steam for $151.06

FTFY

It is currently selling on 2game for $67 USD and has a historic low of $55.19

Still a great deal for medieval grand strategy though!

I feel silly, somehow own all this stuff but haven't played the game in years... :( And owning all the dlc in a Paradox game can only mean we're about due for a sequel... :)

Oh, maybe not, somehow I still haven't bought https://store.steampowered.com/app/329013/EBook_Crusader_Kings_II_Tales_of_Treachery/ :) That was a close one... :)

Great deal! Imho, I'm more interested in EU IV but doubt they'll come out with a bundle since its popular. Paradox does not go beyond 75% for most of its title except couple of old titles and probably 'dead' games. It contains the DLCs which cost mostly above $5(local price) and mentioned above the important ones. I probably wait till near the end to buy this.

for the last few years, the base game frequently hits 75% off, but DLC only drops 50%

If/when they do similar bundles to their other games, I'll probably jump on those as well

I didnt keep check of the price of their DLC, quite frankly there are too many. Also a change in their pricing policy(price increment) sometime ago also hit hard. They were a price friendly company before, they realised they maybe priced out one day but I cant really support the idea of constant DLCs.

I've been buying the last 2 Paradox bundles tho. I'm a sucker for Strategy games hahaha.I'll do the same too for EU IV, although my exchange rate is 1.4 to USD its still way cheaper than to buy during Steam Winter Sale of my local currency.

Thank you for noting the discount rate, Warm Regards, Cruse~

thing is, it's a good game without the DLC, and a better game with (some of) the DLC.
I'm not against the constant DLCs, as long as they're constantly adding to the game. Personally, I'm very much against cosmetic DLC, or DLC that's clearly been cut from the main game and is needed for the full experience. But, if you compare the vanilla CKII at the time of release, to the current vanilla CKII to CKII with all the DLC, the vanilla game has been improved a lot, and CKII with all the DLC is effectively CKIII.

I am not against them making updates and more profits but they have to do it right. Like Witcher 3 which had 2 great DLCs. They probably could combine these DLCs to 2-3 Expansions which I prefer for games to go by rather than DLCs. DLCs is like they cut an Expansion cake to many parts and sell it in slices, that's simply greed and bad business practice.

The amount of DLCs is what putting me off playing Paradox games though I know they are good games, I just want an experience that either I know I'll be missing an expansion or 2 rather than I'll be missing alot of DLCs and its that that that and that you'll be missing. Why make it so complicated when what we all wana do is have fun with the game? Its pretty anti-consumer imo. I wasn't able to start playing the game when it had lesser DLCs but as many others its rather overwhelming adding to the complexity of their Grand Strategy games. :)

I actually think Paradox is one of the companies that gets DLC right - the base game is good on its own, and gets frequent updates. The DLC just adds to the game. Taking CKII as an example. The original game is very catholic / euro-centric. Sword of Islam added more unique feature for the muslim nations, the Old Gods added vikings, Horse Lords added mongols, etc. \
If you only ever play west-european nations, Rajas of India adds absolutely nothing, but if you want to play as one of those nations, it's great to have that opportunity.

I already own ck2 and all of the dlc, but this is a good deal for people who want to just start out since for 15 you cannot go wrong to get most of the DLC and even the latest one that is 20$ by itself (I think the cheapest holy fury went on sale was maybe 15 during the summer sale?)

don't know if you're kiddin' me or not... it feels weird when you're that serious...

tho, i'd like to play it, me too, someday. i've tried, is not that i didn't ... but it was just "oh this is awesome! ouch! that too! what a game what a game!". an hour or so. hella hard indeed.

"Sword of Islam" triggered the Buy. the second much interested into was Conclave. but really ok with a buck...

so... why the regrets?

CK2 is only too hard if you try to understand and control every single aspect of the game instantly. The good part is that you don't have to, to enjoy the game. Failing in CK2 is also fun (the exception, failing sucks in every other Paradox game). Actually playing too perfect (by knowing all about CK2) is less fun, because there is no challenge.

See my current campaign. I started only with Canary Islands, with the huge Abbasid Empire right around the corner. They killed the Byzantines so there was nobody left to stop them. Well I did, by 1168 they are about in the same position the Byzantines were.

You might also say that murdering people is my family's favorite business. The 8 greatest murderers in history are all Mahtarid. :)
