just beaten bioshock infinite 2 days ago... and my mind was blown so far away (I didn't understand the ending at all). but after googling explanation for the ending I was like 'okay'.... overall 7/10 for me... combat wasn't so fun and story just isn't for me
before that, I beat Game Dev tycoon (played through year 35) 9/10 so damn addictive, and then Hotline Miami 10/10 (beating people is hell lot of fun), and before that Far Cry 3 11/10 that game shows how to make a proper open world fps... and the villain... damn one of the best villain of all time.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War
Played a bit of DoW2 prior to starting this, and completely through Space Marine, so I kinda knew what to expect. Still, I was surprised at how small the unit tactics are. I'm used to RTS games like Warcraft, Starcraft, Total Annihilation, Metal Fatigue, and Dark Reign where you build huge armies and have a fairly wide selection of options. Since I played on Normal difficulty, I'm not sure how much my experience suffered, but on the whole it was a very easy game -- never felt challenged in the slightest, though there are one or two nice sort of 'surprise, motherfucker!' moments. Still, it's a good diversion into the world of WH40K, which I always enjoy.
Penumbra: Overture
Played this with the lights off, as intended. And though it had its moments, it wasn't nearly as scary as I had expected it to be. There's one baddie that's a pain in the ass, but mostly because you usually just have to stealth around it. If not for the wonderfully atmospheric music, the game wouldn't hardly be scary at all. The combat is frustrating -- most attacks require you to "prime" them, but after priming, you have no way of moving the spot where you've aimed, so while this priming animation is playing, your quarry has most likely moved to some other location and your attack is now useless and you're dead. Thankfully, this is an extremely minor part of the game, and the sequences where you have to run away are actually very entertaining in themselves. Plus, there's a lot of adventure game type puzzle solving, but it's all logical (I never had to look up any hints). On the whole, it's a good game, but it's also definitely a "part 1" so most things remain unresolved (hopefully just until the next game).

Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition - Probably my favorite FPS game from the 90's. Amazing gameplay, atmosphere, music, awesome weapons. It's a must play for everyone. 10/10

Final Fantasy XIII... Busy with all other games, but if you play them all at the same time, they seem to take a while.

Blades Of Time - It's better than X-Blades but still nothing really special. Developers wanted to put too much things into it and some of them were not perfected. Especially "fun with time", as I like to call it. It's annoying, not fun. Characters are lame, voice acting is weak and dialogues are terrible. It also gets boring pretty fast. Locations are nice though, music is good and gameplay isn't bad but it's far from a good game. 6/10
Blades Of Time: Dismal Swamp DLC - Just like the game. Not bad and not good. 6/10
Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs - I'm disappointed. Why? Because it's an interactive story, not a game. There are no puzzles here and we actually hide from monsters for total of 5 minutes through the whole game! It's unbelievable. It's a huge step backwards. It's like Dear Esther in Amnesia world. No wonder, it was developed by The Chinese Room. Now, I can't say a bad thing about atmosphere which is dark and uncomfortable. Also, the plot is interesting. Music is very good. And if someone is not a horror games veteran then he may even be scared from time to time. However, it's not a game. It's a story. Just like Dear Esther. One more thing, as a religious person I didn't like one scene in church so if someone is religious it may offend him as well. Overall 7/10

Battlefield 3 - I enjoyed SP campaign very much. It's spectacular, missions are long and differentiated, graphics are awesome, music is amazing and the plot is pretty cool. It's short though and it's really average at the beginning. Fortunately it's getting better and better the more you play it. 8+/10

I don't recall seeing this thread around here and I think it's a pretty cool one. You can either recommend someone a game or advise someone not to waste one's time on it. I'll start.
Mark Of The Ninja - A very good stealth-action game. It's like Splinter Cell but in 2D. Although I admit there were times when I was a little bit bored. Overall it's a very good game. Solid 8/10.
