I second that choice! Best pice of graphics card you can get for its price! With your system you could even play BF3 on hightest settings afaik! :)

agreed. Best piece for the best price nowadays. Can run almost all current games on ultra with no problems. 570 gtx is still too expensive in my opinion.
If you need to keep it within a smaller budget, the 550Ti GTX is also a great secondary choice since its so cheap nowadays. It may not be able to play most games on ultra, but it works like a charm for current games using high settings.

This seems to be the best bet between budget and power, it will max pretty much anything.

Never had a single problem with BF3 and my 560ti. On latest beta drivers(290.53)

I'd recommend the Palit GTX570 Sonic Platinum, if you manage to get a good price for it.
Slightly OC'd, stabile as stock, it's a beauty and a beast.

There are a couple things about it you should know, though. It can get quite noisy under heavy load, and may need some serious power... For where you seem to be going I'd say at least >600W.
With this one and my i7 860 I get 55-70+ FPS on ultra settings on BF3 (Vsync off just for testing purposes), my brother with a 560ti had 40-45 on high during the beta, often dropping in the 20s... but then again he has a kinda shitty CPU.
I was f'n lucky too, seen one by accident while looking for a 560Ti, and this one was less expensive. P:

I have a low-end Intel system and a Radeon HD 6750 and it works like a charm. More bang for your buck too.
I'm building a new system soon and fully intend to go with the 6970. If you are in the habit of over clocking, get the 6950 and overclock it. Awesome cards, great performance, cheaper than the 570. Later on, you can always get a second one and use Crossfire and you'll have such powerful performance it'll be almost silly. http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/3741/amd_radeon_hd_6970_2gb_video_card_in_crossfire/index19.html

Budget? 560 ti 448 can reach 570 performance easily for $50 less. Or you could even wait a bit for the 600 series.

If you're fine with paying more for the performance but don't want to pay $500+ then go with a 570. The 6950 2GB is almost $100 cheaper, but will still give you great performance. I think a 560 GTX 2GB might outperform it a bit though. Radeon cards do work well with Intel processors, so that's not anything to be concerned with. Just get whichever one is the best deal for you. :)

I dont know why people are having problems with ati, I upgraded my ati graphic card from ati 3xxx to ati radeon 5770 and never had a single problem.

You know what's funny? Our family have only had problems with Nvidia (even though we continued to use them for around 10 years...). I was the first to switch over to ATI (now AMD) in 2009 when I purchased the 5750, I've had no problems with the card (even through the brutal 20% OC I put it through for a year) and no problems with the drivers so far.
My brother was having problems with his Nvidia GTX 460 so he ended up buying a 6850 and loving it while my dad is suffering from blue screen's due to the Nvidia drivers on his laptop. Oh.. and my mum is having problems browsing the internet on Intel's HD3000 -.-

I have a Radeon HD 6870 by the way. Catalayst A.I.... look what it did to my game. Lol

HD 6870 one of the best cards aviable, in my opinion.
Also, radeons work perfectly with intel too, so no worry about that.

Honestly all of the higher end cards are pretty good right now. I don't think you can make a bad decision.

+1. Really, the reason for ATI to be deemed inferior is not due to actual inferiority, but due to people like this guy spreading bullshit about it.

From someone who works with computers and builds them regularly for myself and others here is my advice:
The lowest I will recommend is a 6870 (AMD).
The next step up is 6950 and 560Ti (The 448 core 560Ti is very slightly better).
Beyond that is a 6970 and 570.
I will not recommend a 580 to anyone. The price is already quite high and it would be vastly better to get the 7970 instead. 7970s have a LOT of overclocking room within the driver menu and this does not require voltage tweaks. It seems that most cards allow you to set both sliders to the max on the OC menu.
As for everyone posting "DO NOT GO AMD", they are just spouting typical 'AMD HAS NO DRIVERS' while they forget that 'FERMI CAUSES HOUSEFIRES'. From what I have seen personally, Nvidia actually ends up with more display driver crashes (I have both).

"I was just as shocked when I read it. It was reported Jen-Hsun Huang, or what authorities believe is Jen-Hsun Huang, was seen fleeing each house fire holding high a product of NVIDIA's new "Fermi" line of GPUs and laughing hysterically. He would then high-five a bunch of corporate suits and drive off in large, windowless van. I think the pic says it all, really." ~ from coolstorybro.com

Weird stuff. Youtube big player got too big (around 720p, I'd say), and Google Chrome doesn't seem to like it - crashed 3 times in a row before I could close that tab. :/
Am I the only one? / checks with Opera & Firefox
Edit_ Same with both browsers, and I have the latest Flash version, I guess it's because they're updating the site itself.

I don't have any suggestions beyond what some have mentioned, but ATI/AMD is just as good as nVidia IMHO. In all of my computers over the years, I've had both brands and can say one thing for sure.
AMD is cheaper than nVidia. Same results most of the time, too.
nVidia is typically more powerful (has more kick to it) but in the long run, it's never worth paying the premium you pay for just the namesake.
