I did, I'm guessing Ubi won't help anymore.
Oh well, just a game I guess, I'm just a bit pissed since I traded two good games for it that I could have actually played (Driver and MW1).

Was referring to steam support if they will give you an access to the game's installer to enter the key. I really think that you got screwed because only the owner of the game should be the only one that can view the key because technically, that key is tied on his account.

I don't have it on steam, I traded for it.
I'm probably even more SOL since I won't be able to play it even if I bought the steam version, as the other key is tied to my Uplay account lmao.

Invalid code on steam, its a Uplay code, for the Steam version apparently from what Ubi told me.

Here is their reply I was talking about:
Thank you for contacting Ubisoft Support. Sorry for the late reply but the key "REMOVED" is already tied to this account you use to email us. When you try to play the game are you launching it through Steam or the standalone Uplay client? The key is tied to the Steam version so you will have to launch the game through Steam for it work.
Let me know if that helps

Uplay games sold in steam asks you to enter a code in uplay client before you can play it. His problem is he doesn't have that game in his steam library to be able to enter the key through uplay client.
I really think that op got screwed because that key should be only viewable by the steam owner and not meant to be traded

Yeah, I am guessing/hoping the person I traded with did not know that.

I used the ID that the person I traded with gave me, as I didn't even know about the ID thing until they told me.

Not to an uplay account. I don't know if there is anyway to show it, but I can see it in My Games on Ubishop, and Ubisupport have confirmed its tied to my Uplay account, and I guess the other guys Steam account lol.

Okay, thank you all for all the help, much appreciated.
I'll try Steam Support I guess, as a last effort.

Okay, I traded with a user on here for Future Soldier (not naming them since it might not have been their fault)
I activated it on Uplay, went fine (using the ID shortcut thing), got an installer (offical ubi one) and installed it, says the code is invalid despite it already being activated, Ubi support tested the key and are saying its for the steam version, and I need to launch it through Steam, but I don't have it on steam.
Am I probably SOL?
