Nichijou is excellent if you're into nonsensical comedy. Can't comment on the others as I'm not really into that moe stuff.

Yes. Do this. But with the caveat that series one is total and utter garbage. But it's only 6 episodes. And they are like just over 20 minutes each. So, like what, 2 hours of misery, tops. And then series two starts and it's starting to find it feet. And by the time you're at series three, you're planning which of your kids to rename with characters from the show ( spoiler, all your kids are going to be called Lil Sebastian ) and then series 4 - 7 are litterally the best hours of your life...you'll feel like you're spending time with friends, like you know and love the characters personally.
And then it ends. For ever. And you're left wondering why you put so much of your heart into a show you know was going to end. And all these left over feelings are just swimming about inside you and you don't know where to put them. So, you take to the internet and any time someone mentions it, you champion it...not to share your pain at having lost something so great, but to share the joy of experiencing something so pure.
Also, 'Party Down'. And maybe 'Impastor' and 'The Good Place'. Not in the same league ( although Party Down is pure art ) but still decent watching.

Anime, you could watch Drifters. I enjoyed Dimension W as well. Series i'd recommend The Night Manager. Not comedy, but they're quality pieces.
