I'm curious, does anybody know why these games are given away on GameMiner in large quantities? There have been dozens of Knytt Underground and Escape Goat giveaways each day for a few weeks now and today lots of Bleed giveaways popped up. I couldn't find any recent bundles that included any of those games and on Steamgifts there is not an noticeable amount of giveaways either. Seems to be something only Russians have access to.

Ok, thanks. Any reason why the giveaway difference between GameMiner and Steamgifts is so huge? There have been hundreds of giveaways for these games on GameMiner, but almost none on Steamgifts. Do Russians get IGN Prime for free or much cheaper than the rest of the world?

cuz they know it's just gonna be bundled. Might as well put it on gameminer

And only Russians know that? I somehow can't believe that. The difference is really 1 copy on Steamgifts versus 100 copies on GameMiner - and that even though Steamgifts is the larger site. Either Russians are much, much more generous than the rest of world (despite their relatively low average income) or there is more to it than meets the eye.

I thought IGN had updated the system to avoid exploits? Does one still need to worry about trading games that has been featured on IGN? (I made an Escape Goat trade recently).

Quite apparently it can be exploited. The amount of IGN prime giveaways on Gameminer is mad, some people there have 50+ IGN prime games they give away. Of course there is a tiny, tiny chance that all those people have 20 IGN accounts they pay for, but somehow I have a feeling it is more likely they do the same thing the Russian guy in the thread I linked to did.
