I agree with this. I always thought there was something I have been missing when I was looking to mark specific messages as read! And thank you for the give away!

As previously mentioned, I fully support this. I do however use a workaround. I open forum posts I intend to answer (but don't have the time to) as separate tabs, using their permalink. Then, whenever I go through open tabs I'm bound to notice them. Pretty obvious, but still worth mentioning.

It is a good workaround. However, I already have 35 tabs open, so it doesn't really suit me :-)

35? I regular have 100+ tabs open, sometimes more than 200.

It would be a nice feature, even though it would mean a complete do-over with the messages system...
