Can I decline a gift that I won?

So I recently won a gift but I missed the part in the description that said it was from a different region and was totally censored. So I don't really want it anymore, anyway i could decline it or let somebody else have it? I haven't accepted the gift or anything yet.

To clarify, the game is The Killing Floor and the German Version is censored (The version that won).

You can ask the gifter to re-roll the giveaway, but he shouldn't be giving region locked gifts in the first place.

The guy isnt giving a region locked game, it's just not as explicit as the other versions.

Wut? No.

Something that is limited in graphical areas is not a rule breaker, region locked yes, beta yes, but not modified versions.

As to the OP, that is your choice, but it will look bad to have that against you, if the person who is gifting the game mentioned that it is censored and you entered and you refuse thats a different scenario, but if you didn't know and you were told before receiving then you have a right to ask for a re-roll.

I readed (somewhere on SG forum or Steam forums) you can contact Steam support and ask them to change your game into uncensored version.

Also, this should work too:
Go to Library, right click Killing Floor and set the language to english. Go to "Steam\steamapps\common\killingfloor\System" folder and open Killingfloor.ini. Find "[Engine.Engine]" and add bdevgoreoverride=True directly under it; save the file and close it.

Last month i traded some TF2 items for Red Orchestra 2, it wasn't marked as DE version but it was that version. I contacted the support and they changed the version of the game. I dont know they change for you if is marked as DE.

just contact the guy and tell him to reroll the giveaway. you dont get your game, and he gets a new winner, problem solved and everyone is happy.
