....that shitty site is run by Ookla...the same system that Mybroadband uses for their test you idiot
It even says powered by Ookla on the damn test....
And for international users it's far better idea to go to speedtest.net...heck even for us South Africans it makes more sense.

....I'm a South African as well and I'd just like to say that you, neighbourheedgeek, are a moron
Why point everyone to our local Mybroadband speedtest when it's actually run by Ookla, the guys behind the internationally known Speedtest.net? In addition, the International setting is actually meant for us South Africans because it's supposed to give us an average on what our connection to a game hosted in the UK or US might be like. It's not meant to be used by international people, they should just go to Speedtest.net.
Mybroadband's speedtest also does double-duty because it doesn't just serve as a way for locals to test their speed but it also supplies Mybroadband with information on the abilities of our various local ISPs/connection methods and by sending a bunch of international traffic using the likes of Comcast through that system you're fudging up that data.
And don't tell me you didn't know about Speedtest.net because if you made a thread like this then you've seen others and they'll have been using Speedtest.net
And no, it wouldn't help Mybroadband.co.za to get more international traffic nor would that international traffic see anything interesting on that site, at least not that isn't better presented elsewhere internationally.
