Maybe Microsoft wants to lose sales? Can Sega come back now please and make a system?

That's asking too much. I say Sega gets a 50% ownership of the Wii U and Nintendo and we call it a day. Make the DreamWii or something.

It was not revealed yet, but there's a chance that it will, one day, be made around here, droping the prices drastically. Anyways, yes, the taxes are just absurd. |:

Every move they make is another step to grave. Seriously. Poland is not on the list, I did expect that though. It's not like people here would buy it anyway, you can't play used games. It's almost sure X1 will fail here.
Looks like they don't care about Japan too. I would just take MGS5 and Witcher 3 from them since they don't care about the countries these games come from. That would teach them.

By the way, I think it violates the rights of the European Union, not really sure though.

It won't be even sold in most of the Asia before 2014. Also, Microsoft's market share in Japan isn't that large. It's all Nintendo and Sony there, with all the games that will never be translated to western market.

MS should really kick the damage control to high gear, too much shit has hit the fan already. They're making the choice between PS4 and xbone way too easy.

Comment has been collapsed.

Microsoft's damage control was to say that the Xbox 360 was an option.

Wow. Why are they recommending me to stick with older hardware, when their competitor has equal (or better, I don't remember) hardware, without retarded DRM and most of all, cheaper.

Must be strictly for the Xbox One so I think we will. If not, it is possible to migrate an account every 3 months to another country.

Yeah, not like i give a damn about microsoft anymore. Portugal isn't part of the list anymore aswell.

This pretty much points out at me buying steam games rather than a new system, i don't have plans on buying ps4 either, RIP console gaming, most likely to be the last gen for me and many others.

It's also times like this i wish sega was still around making innovations, dreamcast was kickass when it showed up. Would be even more kickass to make a sequel to that system, call in a few old titles and turn them exclusive again, like shenmue and jet set radio.

My rig didn't get that memo. (closer to $700, but I see your point) Another thing to note, gaming on PC is cheaper than console. So people should wake up and realize that while sometimes it may suck to wait a month for that hot new game, its gonna be on sale for PC and it's STILL gonna be $60 on a console. Take that over the course of a console's life time and now you have way more games and even money to upgrade your gaming setup.

Most people are for low entry cost and high rates/payments later.

Also, electric bill: PC > console (don't remember exact numbers, but it's at least 4 times bigger use).

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

4xs? Nonsense. Are you making an assumption because a PC can have a 1000w PSU?
And there is nothing "low cost" about 400-500 IMO.
Its overall cheaper to game on a PC then a console.

Well, found few pages that might show some numbers. Wii costs $24. while consoles ten times more, while PC can cost from $5 to over $600.
So, while I was wrong with 4 times more (guess that Wii costs really affected my memory, making consoles look much better), it CAN be higher.

And paying $400 now and then paying more is still considered "lower cost" than paying $700 now and paying less later. Most people just prefer to pay less in front.

Yeah, i also don't understand why people think that PC gaming is expensive, when it is actually cheaper than consoles. I can find you a mid range PC for $400, you just need to know where to look. Plus, the amount of money you save by not paying a monthly internet subscription, and the MASSIVE amount you save on games, makes up for any higher amount you pay for a higher end PC.

I was about to say this. If the XboxOne equivalent was built as a PC it would cost rougly $400-$450 (in America, about £450 in the UK, still cheaper than Xbox). Double that would build a beast of a gaming computer, not an entry-level one, as is the XboxOne.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That doesn't make much sense. Everyone needs a PC anyway, for its non-gaming uses, and buying a low-grade PC and a console costs more than buying a gaming PC. Also, gaming PCs don't cost more than $600-$700. And that would get you something way more powerful than a console.

Also, I'd like to know if you have any data on consoles being used in developing countries. In my knowledge, the vast majority of consoles are purchased in North America, Western Europe and Japan. In developing countries, they're mostly toys for rich kids.
