Though really did i miss them, considering i was not on Steam when they where out,so i missed them but i could not regret buying them when i was not using Steam when they where out..

Though i did play both on the xbox, and pc ...i still have boxed version, just be kinda neat to have them in my game list, though not a collector so not a big deal....just be nice to rub in friend's faces once in a while for a good laugh.

Were XIII and Gears of War ever on steam?

Nope.
I imagine GoW was busy being an Xbox exclusive.
XIII... no idea why it never arrived, but I hope it does someday. Apparently it was removed from GOG though. :(

  • Wolfenstein 2009
  • Stubbs the Zombie // read a Postmortem article about it in a game dev mag, so interested due to that
  • Elf Bowling // even though it used to get passed around in email attachments back in the 90s...
  • Wik and the Fable of Souls // I played the demo of this one on Steam loooooong ago...
  • Neverwinter Nights 2
  • Dragon Age 2 // not buying it on Origin (if it's free on Origin someday, is another story -- ditto ME3)
  • The Movies
  • James Bond games
  • Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
  • HAWX 1 & 2
  • Wallace & Grommit // Actually, I have a Humble key for this, but held on to it since it activates a bunch of other things I already own and figured I'd just wait for a really good W&G sale. If it really doesn't ever return, I'll activate it when I finally really want to play it but until then I'm still hoping it comes back to Steam instead.
  • The Rockin' Dead // wrote to the devs when I bought it in a pseudo-bundle on Indie Gala that had some other Steam games in it, but no luck -- their reply from 2012: “The Rockin‘ Dead” was part of a special STEAM bundle. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to get a single STEAM key for the game in that case.
  • Horrid Henry // I somehow forgot about that one, Angel9!!!
  • Lost: Via Domus // I think this game was already a joke before it ever even arrived on Steam...

Based on this thread, probably Outrun 2006 too. And maybe Sega Rally / Sega Rally Revo.

I feel lucky to have picked up most of the rest of the in-demand games.

Necroing this thread!

  • Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse + DLC: I have it on my wishlist to this day
  • Fable 3 + DLC-s: Even though people say it was bad, I would've liked to try it out at least
  • Blur: Would've liked to try this one out as well

Wolfenstein
Neverwinter Nights 2
The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
Mafia
Godfather 1&2
Agatha Christie: And then there were None
Agatha Christie: Evil under the Sun
Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express

I never played James Bond games, Terminator Salvation, Blur, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Advanced Warfighter games, Second Sight, or Lost: Via Domus so maybe those too.

I have Prey, Cryostasis and Fable 3 though. I have Dragon Age 2 in origin and since I have to have Dragon Age 3 there anyway, I don't mind.

trust me, you aint missing much not being able to buy Mortal Kombat Arkade, from what I have seen so far its almost unplayable, and the added GFWL doesnt help one bit XD

sadly, it was a very sloppy collection put together with zero care or effort.

I had Mortal Kombat Arkade. Had it removed permanently from my library. It was utterly unplayable, worse than many Greenlight garbage.

I regret not giving away all of my spare Gearcrack Arena keys before the author removed the game in such a way that they all broke.

Yeah, me too. At least the gift copies still work, but it's a shame to see all the keys wasted.

Seems like Mafia 1 is rather popular in this thread. I wonder if because it is the most-known removed game, therefore it is famous, or people actually would play it. Because it wasn't that particularly well-known and the younger ones who own it tend to bitch about it in its forum of how difficult/not-GTA it is.

To have something to comply with the thread title, mine was Dragon Age II. Kept it on the wishlist for years until I decided to clear the thing out a bit.

I used to be playing with Mafia on the classic Xbox. It was a good game, tough as rock but enjoyable nonethless.

If I could afford to cough up its price, I sure as heck would get myself a gift copy if there is any existing.

With that being said: its not a game for everyone

It sure isn't. I liked it and still prefer the original difficulty, but it is more like a TPS with a very obvious Coppola influence than an open-world driving action game (unlike Mafia 2…). It's just I see so many people wanting it only because it is "rare", not because they know anything about the game itself.
