Well, then, almost any 1080p model of the specified size with 16:9 should be OK. If I was you, and I was planning to add a 2nd monitor later, I'd pay attention to ports more than to manufacturer. Look at your gtx1050 and what you wanna replace it with tomorrow, check what ports are there (probably display port + hdmi in some number) and then look for monitors that will support that.
I locked myself to 2x dvi monitors because my gtx950 has 2x dvi + 1x hdmi, but when I later looked at 1070s... they all had 1x dvi and 3x display port... so... yeah. Just a thought.
Anyway, look at some of AOC IPS models for example, or ViewSonic, Samsung...

I'm stuck using a displayport to dvi adapter for my 3rd monitor because of ports availability. And looking at most recent cards, if I don't change monitors by the time I upgrade my video card I'll most likely need more adapters.

We,, if you just want to go for a cheap monitor which has decent technical stats I'd go for this one.
I'm using it myself and works fine in any kind of setup. Also 2ms response time will allow you to play any kind of game without lagging issues. You might need to adjust the colors a bit when you turn it on for the first time tho. (oh and the monitor stand allows you to bend the monitor - that was actually a huge plus for me 'cause I had issues with reflections on the screen with my previous one)

Since I got an AMD graphic card myself I wasn't aware of Gsync. This one doesn't support gsync.

I really like my Acer Predator XB271HU, but as it's 27" and 2560x1440 it's bigger than you want.
So I'll just suggest you get a monitor with some of its other features that I like:

The backlight of the LCD monitor is a consumable item. It will be broken in roughly 30,000 hours.
If you care about color, look for an IPS monitor.
Unlike in a long time ago, you can probably get around 100-150 dollars even with a response speed of 1 ms - 5 ms.
If you need a monitor that requires a refresh rate of 144 Mhz or higher, it will be very expensive.
However, if you are not looking for such a monitor, I think that you can get a 23 - 24 - inch monitor with the amount as described above.

144hz isn't too important unless you get used to it and tend to play fast paced games. Once you've gotten used to it though, if you play something like CS: GO a lot, there would be a very noticeable difference if you tried 60hz again. Similar to how there's a huge difference between 30 fps and 60 fps if you've never experienced 60, just not as drastic :P
What I would consider important to ponder on though is that if you go with a 1080p 60hz monitor and a GTX 1080, the GPU would be serious overkill for that resolution and frame rate. A monitor will usually last as long if not much longer than a GPU, so it'd be wise to not blow a bunch of money on a graphics processor and then cheap out on something equally as important as reaching the max settings in your games. Build quality does matter, too. If that's the route you plan to go I think a 1070 would be the more reasonable GPU to future proof with. You'll save a good chunk of money, and still have no problem maxing out settings on any game at 1080p 60hz for a long time coming.
144hz would better utilize your beefed up new computer, but again it's not necessary. Another thing to consider is TN or IPS. TN panels are generally cheaper, but have less accurate and less bright colors, and bad viewing angles. IPS has good viewing angles and colors, but a common issue with them is backlight bleed. No choice is the right choice, it's all up to what you see value in and your preferences. Good luck with the new rig, I'm sure whatever choice you make it'll all turn out awesome :)

You obviously wouldn't destroy it, there's nothing wrong with it that's what you want. But by overkill I meant going with a GTX 1080 might be a bit of a waste to play on 1080p at 60hz. You could max out your games and get the exact same performance for a long time coming with a cheaper GPU like the GTX 1070 (or even a 1060 6gb) if you don't go 144hz or 1440p. Just food for thought.

What Yuri said:
If you don't think about 144hz and only in HD a 1080 is a bit to much.
Also if you don't need 4k nor 144hz you can take just a simple screen for like 150€ (iiyama ProLite B2482HD-B1)

This is the best monitor for that price. Other choices are basically HP Omen or ROG display that cost much more.

Often it could just very well be bad capacitors inside the monitor that could easily and cheaper be replaced if you know some soldering.

I'd advise against putting your hands in a monitor unless you really know what are you doing because there's a risk of getting shocked even when it's unplugged.

All you have to do it turn it on once unplugged from the wall to empty the capacitors of any residual charge.

Refresh rate is a game to game thing, mine is 144Hz and while is great for CSGO, few games support higher than 60 refresh rates without bugs.
panel IPS would be ideally, VA is good too, i would recommend staying away from TN panels and Samsung monitors, since their gaming monitors have tons of ghosting.
in my experience the best price/quality monitors are made by LG and Acer

Sorry but with that IPS and VA i don't know the diference.... i have some idea on PC component but about monitors.... i absolutely have 0 idea.
i just want a monitor to play, don't need a "gamer" monitor of 144hz because i'm no that good at gamming for see the diference or even take profit of that diference, so i don't want to overpay for something i will can't use or take profit for my own limitations.

I bought https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VP247H-P-Monitor-1920x1080-Speakers/dp/B019HN6P36 last year. cant say anything bad about it. recommendation.

1050 works for a few more years, its a waste to buy new graphic card and probably new pc. Sure, you could watch then high fps (at least you will see the numbers because human eye wont see anything from it).
But well, west european slavers are rich, my recently purchased 750eur pc with 1050 4gb was hell expensive for local salaries, too bad everything costs same in east EU as at west EU (except services) while salaries max 40%. 2k eur pc? hell, spend it for something better, csgo and rocket league (looks like those your played games) dont need better pc:-p
as about monitor, well, no clue, i recently streaming to the TV and playing with steam controller, unless its a strategy game, but i bought a new one early this year: LG 24MP59G Gaming IPS Monitor, 23.8", 1920x1080, 250cd, 1ms, VGA, AMD Freesync, Black
It looks cool, not too big, not too small, wasnt too expensive, only like 150eur, iam satisfied with it. I dont suggest to buy bigger than 24' unless you want to destroy your eyes.

my graphic card it's just 2GB so... it's really low for the actual games. and i'm like you i don't use graphic card of 1515656$ i usually go for a graphic card for change after 2-3 years. but i really saw that i can't play some games with that 1050 2 GB.
it's more this is my actual PC
-I5 750 2.67GHZ 2.66GHZ (4 CPU)
-8GB RAM DDR 3 i think
-MSI Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 2GB (bought like 4 months ago, i regret it....)
-motherboard P55-US3L
-mouse --> G5 (pretty old mouse i think more than 10 years old, but very good quality on duration, it still works as it was the first day)
-keyboard --> a shit one (logitech) of 10 or 20$ xD (don't like gamer keyboard of 150$)
-my actual monitor --> benq senseye+photo LCD 21"" (have like 10 years old or more xD)
and i can't play for example Final fantasy 15 on lowest graphics, i lost fps to around 15-18 fps

Actually your gpu isnt the problem for the most part as i also use the same on. Your cpu is really really weak, at this point even the pentium g4560 will do better than that. I would advise you to check for amd 6 core cpus first and then start thinking about a gpu.

If you play a lot: gsyinc if you are going to stick with nvidia or freesync with amd (it's cheaper)
It's a must, definitely more important than resolution and refresh rate

i don't like AMD products, all the products i bought from them, broken after a few months, so i decided to never more buy AMD products.
i really happy with Nvidia and intel too, so... (in fact i never got the privilege to see a Nvidia or intel product break before i change it for another better, and i talk about changing my PC every 7-10 years)

eizo makes really great screens but they come at a price.
recently i bought myself a new hp 24w for 100€ and i'm really happy with that one. my old benq 22" is my second screen now. coolio!
edit: also make sure to check out ebay. i bought that 22" benq used on ebay last year for 25€ and collected it on the other side of town. it really doesn't get any easier or cheaper than that.

I'm no expert in monitors. What I can tell you is that I use a LG 27M45HQ-B. A 27" LED-monitor with 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz.
I've been using it for the last 8 years, 14 hours a day (almost every day) and it works like on day 1. It may not support the highest,up-to-date resolutions that go over 2000, but this thing is durable. And since I always ever played my games in 1600x900 max, that's enough for me.
Also: no blinking pixels or anything and you can see pretty good from almost every angle.
So I'd recommend one like this.
edit: He wasn't expensive when I got him. Somewhere around 200€.

Well how the title say i think my actual monitor it's dying..... why i think that??? (well today i seems that it's less colour look like a bit grey.... like a little fog, but not only that, now every time i press on the monitor it turns off... took my like 10 try to let the monitor work.
so there's my problem i was aiming to buy a new PC in 3-4 months once i get enough money (around 2000$ euros) (all new plus monitor, mouse etc...)
so.. i want to ask to you what monitor i should buy???? (right now i have an Gforce 1050 2GB graphich card but i aim for a 1080 or more in 3 months)
so considering i'm going to buy a powerfull PC for run in max settings all the games in 3-4 months, what monitor i should buy???? (for start i don't want a 4K monitor)
-the size of the monitor should be 24'' (no more size i don't like huge monitor and 24"" it's a decent one)
-the price... well idk a lot of years without buy a monitor so i just want a monitor that can hold the PC i'm going to buy in a few months. or if a cheap monitor that can hold the 1050 Gforce graphic card i have right now. and in 4 months buy another monitor.
-i will use 1920 x 1080 size rsolution so the monitor should be 16:9 (NOT NOT NOT 16:10)
i don't have any idea about monitors and what's better or worse the only i know it's that some monitor can't hold a modern graphic card because resolution etc.....
