This point system is working quite well. Indubitably.

I don't think that it's a good idea. There are must be more ways how to get points.

The creator should be allowed to choose how many points is needed to enter its giveaway, because a lot of games have been bought on sales, and I think that who creates it should control it.
Make it an option: Use default Steam price as points or use custom point value.

I love the system! But sadly I have only 0 Points! :(

The system works great, just won a giveaway and I don't think many changes need to be made.

I feel like that inflation is happening with points. It is nice that a lot of people are giving away Half Life 2, Indie Bundles, etc. but sooner or later there's soon going to be more and more people that won't join these giveaways, just giving them some free points. Obviously, there are going to be some people that don't have them, but my point is that the purpose of points to me seems to be less and less "purposeful". That's just how I feel so far.

I dont like this idea. Since "most" players who come here for free gifts. I think the points system would go for some more previleges like post multiples gifts.
Also, when people failed in these giveaways, what did they get ? Nothing. And I think you should add the refund function for failed times too.

If people are refunded for failed giveaways then the points system becomes almost completely useless. Everyone would simply keep earning points until they hit the ceiling. There are already too many entrants per giveaway IMO, we don't need to make them even bigger.

Sounds like a good idea to get the community involved.

Edit: This information is no longer correct, we have lowered the generation to five percent.
EDIT: Point System Now Live
If you check the top right, there's a number in brackets next to Logout, which represents your current points. At the moment, I sent everyone 100, and new users will start with 25. Now, how it works.
When a giveaway is created on the site, every single member gets 10% of that value in points. So, if I started a giveaway at this moment, for a $50 Steam game, everyone would now have an extra 5 points. When you enter a giveaway, you spend these points. If you enter for a game worth $20, you spend 20 points, and you'll see the number next to Logout drop by 20. If you decide to remove your entry while the giveaway is still open, those 20 points are returned. And of course, if you don't have the required number of points, you're unable to enter that giveaway.
At most, you can save up to 300 points. This way, people can't be inactive for months, and then return to thousands of points, entering everything.
Numbers are rounded up, so if someone creates a giveaway for a $1 game, 1/10 = 0.1 points, but that's rounded to 1, so it helps to contribute to everyone.
What do you guys think? Suggestions? I thought we'd try it out for a few days, and see how things are going. In short, this will allow people to choose which 10% of giveaways they would like to enter, giving them better odds for games they're interested in playing.
