I Have to go to the dentist tomorrow to get two of my wisdom teeth pulled. One is very impacted and also has a cavity to add. Apparently it's sitting so close to the nerve that I have to go to a super fancy surgeon for the risky procedure.

To help calm my nerves, I decided to complain on SG but then make it up by bearing gifts :P .
Here are some level 3 gibs

Do you have a fear of dentists or hospitals?

Nothing scares me

Just got back from the dentist a couple hours ago. Definitely in pain but it'll be worth it when it's all over. The actual surgery was a piece of cake since I was super high.

Talking to you guys helped a ton. I loved the honest answers and the optimistic answers. I'll reply to you guys tomorrow when I'm feeling better. Thanks again for everything!

I won't be able to chew for at least a week D: my diet involves mashed potatos, macaroni and broth. It'll be worth it when I heal and those teeth aren't bothering me anymore :)

Thank you for getting back to us and letting us know you are okay (you never know when surgery is involved after all!).:)

Hopefully the pain that you'll have won't last too long and it'll heal up super quick!:)

Have a good sleep, my friend!:)

That's good to hear and thank you for your update. :-)

I guess no hard food for a while and be careful to avoid infection. Did you get anti-inflammatory medication and a disinfectant fluid to rinse your mouth?

Oh, man... tooth aches are horrible.
I'm planning to go to the dentist as well, hopefully soon, but I can't find the time nor make the effort to just go when I can... I think I'm honestly a bit scared about the thought, my last experience left me with... a bad taste. xD
Very happy to hear you're done with that and everything's good (well, almost, but you'll get back to eating normal food soon enough). ^^

Yeah I know what you mean. It takes time, money, and its pretty terrifying. If you have a choice, you should get IV Sedation because its safer then general anesthesia, and I was out and back in a span of a second :P
Thanks, and hopefully it doesn't take to long. I've been eating applesauce and easy mac for two days now D:

Super terrified of dentists.

Well, actually, not quite super terrified. Because it's not quite as terrifying as needles, and those are truly super terrifying.

Still, it takes all my courage to not run away when I hear the drill spin up.

ugh I know what you mean. I got an IV sedation which meant that they had to stick a needle in my arm to give me the drugs. I was almost having a panic attack because my needle and dentist phobia, but once it happened I was out!

not really, been going in and out of clinics since i was five, now i only go there twice a year or so but it doesnt bother me at all... as for dentists... i've only gone to the dentist twice or thrice (excluding when i had brackets, tho they were ones that you only use at night) and i had both my wisdom teeth taken out when i was like 12

Are you sure those were wisdom teeth? Maybe you were just wise beyond your years!

Wisdom teeth are a third set of molars in the back of your mouth. They usually come in between the ages of 17 and 25 [...].

no fear, but don't trust dentists or doctors.
in US, many do not give a rats ass about their patients.
imo, not because doctors or dentists are bad, but the insurance industry forces them to move people through like cattle to make money.

Good to hear it went well! Best of luck recovering. Hope you can eat normal again soon
I remember when my wisdom teeth got pulled a few years ago. I only had 3.
I got heavy painkillers (ibuprofen 600mg, 3 times a day) combined with good old paracetamol. In 2 days I learned that I am intolerant/allergic to ibuprofen, as I got trouble breathing, but by then I could manage with just paracetamol.
