The following is a LONG list of choices of mine, I made it it from SteamDB nice tools. Not exactly elegant, but for me it's more effective than going around Steam or its search to see if I bump into something interesting. There will be better choices, because I've not seen yet all the 150k games in Steam, nor I've included games already in my library. But this is a good start, at least for me.

The common traits of all these games:

• Historical low, either new or matching, not on price but on discount. Some games have raised prices so at the best discount ever they are a bit more expensive than the price historical low.
• Lowest 2-year price. Some games will seem to never match previous discounts/prices, so SteamDB has been trying this "2-year low" thing which I find useful... Tho I always end looking at price history to get a context.
• All have 75% discount or higher.
• All are 90% rating or higher. This rating is neither the Steam rating nor the SteamDB rating. It's just the positive reviews divided by total reviews, multiplied by 100 (raw rating?) There might be one or two a bit lower, but I doubt it.
• All have at least 50 reviews. At least diminishing the usual 10 positive reviews in release day from users with 1-2 reviews which are obviously paid reviews. I rarely add those to my wishlist tho.
• All are cheaper than €10 (yet no €9.99 ones). I don't know about currency conversions, country taxes, or lizard lords messing with prices in other places of this soon-to-be insectoid-controlled planet. This time it'll be the insects eating the lizards, revenge is sweet! (Do lizards taste sweet? Dunno.)
• All have been chosen by me, that means, they're in my whitelist. Many have been recently re-reviewed to see if they stay in the whitelist or not. I axed 200 in the first 2 weeks, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting rid of 100 more. I reached the land of "I also want this one", despite my change of perspective of what games do I want to get and play (eventually).

There are 100, it's a long list. They're sorted by best rated (SteamDB rating) at the beginning. My suggestion? Use your middle button to open in new tabs a few ones, watch, decide. Repeat until tired. Kudos to anyone who can view all 100 store pages. (At the beginning I thought of putting 10 or 20 games... But why put a limit? You chose your limit, how many you want to check. I have more but I think 100 is a nice number.)
At least in Firefox there's an extension where it'll open tabs for each URL in the clipboard, called Paste and Go (a button you have to put on your toolbar). Probably other browsers have a similar extension. It might be useful for this (and for so many other things).

One reminder! Many of these can be acquired in Steam "complete what you're missing" bundles. If it's the last game in the bundle that you don't have, or there are more games/dlcs in the bundle you want, you get a minimum 10% extra discount, but some bundles have way higher base discount, so always check if you can get them in a bundle.
