Uh, steam not starting games?

Getting a weird problem now.

I click the game.
'Preparing to launch'

The game appears in the task manager, so its running, but its not in the taskbar, and its not physically open.
(Happening with all my games except spacechem)

Anyone experienced this before?

I used to have that issue but I don't recommend my method of fixing it at all. Maybe try to reinstall steam or restart the pc

Yeah, I would start by trying, if a restart fixes your problem,

if it doesn't you could rename ClientRegistry.blob, which is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam (make sure Steam is closed before you do that). When you start Steam afterwards it should create a new ClientRegistry.blob file

and if that doesn't work either, then I would recommend uninstalling Steam. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam afterwards and remove everything inside that folder, but the SteamApps folder (if you don't want to redownload all your games)

Im installing the newest service pack (As suggested by support) and Ill try renaming the .blob file.
