Microsoft wanted to follow the Steam model and promised it would end up lowering prices, but few people wanted that. Still, you can sell console games, so if you're into that you're making back part of the cost.
In any case, I consider the current Xbox Live Gold deal pretty good. For $1 I get Fable III, Defense Grid and Assassin's Creed 2.

It is not so bad. You just have to get used to it.
I have to admit though, I use my PS3 to play platformers, puzzles, fighting games, third person shooters, and so on.
Well, I am not buying any third party games on my PC anymore. With PS Plus I am getting too many games to keep up with playing them.
Now I (almost) only play exclusives on PC. ...Rome 2: Total War is just under 2 months away...

Butt hurt console gamer alert. Too bad you have to buy that every year to keep the games and then when you stop paying you lose them, unlike PC gamers who can get them for 1 dollar each and keep them without any worries.

same here, PC COD in my country is overpriced whit the same price of console version, so 1 cod = 14 pizzas or 28 beer or you can watch 13 movies in the movie theater.

I think you are. It's not hard to find a store that's willing to make you pay a premium for a product that you could get elsewhere for much cheaper. See: Your average U.S. mall.
Just like you can go into certain bars or restaurants and pay $5 or more for a bottle of Coke.

Strangely, I never pay those prices. Like I do with my PC games, I wait. Since I also have the option of picking up titles pre owned, I can get some really nice prices, like when I paid NZ$5 for Skyrim on 360 a year ago. A price that isn't going to be matched here on PC except during price errors. The 30% discount on Steam right now has it at NZ$34.
