Is it just me, or is the prices broken for me? Awhile ago, or the last sale of LA Noire, it was down to $3.75 for thr regular edtion, which is $15 when its not on sale. In this sale, it says its $12.50 for the regular, aand $50 when its not on sale??

Go for it. The extra cases are great and fit right into the main storyline.
Its just a couple alternate outfits and guns that you can
easily avoid using and that don't make much of a difference.

Some extra content might be cool, but making the game easier with all those upgrades... is a bit of a drawback.
