Help, I'm an idiot. (TF2, NO GA)

So perhaps a month or two ago I finally got around to buying something in TF2. Since then, I've been hit with the realization that even though I've been playing free for years, I have no clue how the crafting and trading system works. Can one of you kind souls, point me to an ultimate guide so I dont screw myself over any worse than I already have? Ive scrapped things I later found out I shouldve kept for trading and other similar bonehead moves.

As far as guides go, I think there's videos on youtube that discuss beginner trading. Might wanna check there.

And yes, it's considered begging. Best remove or be removed.

well i did offer to trade my gratitude. but i thought it might be. and i've looked for guides on my own, but everything i come across seems outdated or only touches on one subject, I'm hoping for a one stop guide that will cover most everything.

To further explain how little I know about TF2, I just discovered idle servers, and saxton hale, death run etc type servers. I had no idea, so fill me in on any other awesomely fun shit I mightve been missing out on too.

Today I randomly joined a Saxton Hale server and got spammed for 5 minutes of server gifts. Ended up getting 6 gifts out of like probably 200 the guy gave out.

Dodgeball !

There are several variations of the game type, I especially like the one with only 1 rocket that gains speed on each pass & has 'very adjustable' passing angles.
