What good games are there below $8?

I'm looking for a great Steam game below $8, preferably one that goes on sale for 75% off frequently. I don't have any preferences game genre wise, but I don't like Tower defense games or turn-by-turn attack RPG games. Anyone wanna help a fellow SG memeber?

EDIT: When I say below $8, I mean at most $8, that will become $2 at 75% off. Beause I only have $2...

EDIT2: Thanks to everyone who commented and recommended some games. A lot of them were great games. but I've decided to buy the next Humble Weekly Bundle which should go live in about 6 hours. Thanks again and peace out!

Kung Fu Strike - The Warrior's Rise is pretty slick-looking. The DLC adds co-op, which I got just today, but since you only have the 2 bucks, I guess the DLC (which is like 50 cents) is just out of your reach, otherwise we could've teamed up if you'd've liked that. :)

i couldnt play that much, the gameplay got quite repetitive for me despite the new moves and different backgrounds.

When you say 8 $ you mean 2 $? :D Sorry, here's few good games for you: Borderlands 1 should be less than 8$ when in sale, Titan Quest around 5$, Dead Island 5$ in amazon.com atm and Dota 2 is free (if you need an invite let me know)
