Hi. I believe an year ago i've started to trade on SteamTrades. All was cool and fun till i've met some rude and aggressive person. This person made an offer in my trading thread. I reviewed his offer and found it not interesting for me, so i answered him something like this "Thanks for your offer, but i'm not interested". As you can see i wasn't rude. He then left me negative trading feedback ".no". O_o I searched for his posts and for his other feedbacks and found that he is very rude person, who likes to flame people here on SteamTrades. I've made ticket to Support and described my issue. That happened 6 months ago. No answer or any moves from the Support. I understand that SteamGifts is a huge site with a lot of people, but 6 months? A bit more and it will reach Valve Support's record - they answered on my ticket after 1 year (facepalm... btw, that was dumb, useless answer).

1 week ago i've made another ticket about same problem. Here is my questions, dear traders - What should i do to make SteamTrades Support put attention on my issue? =)

User reports can take quite a while. I was lucky and mine was resolved in about 2 months.

I understand this, but 6 months for such issue is really too much.

SteamTrades does not have support.

But how can you ban anyone for scamming people then? I thought you give "permanent ban" from website if the user scams another user with trade? If so, who is giving these bans? Same people should also take care about the false reputations?

I mean if you clearly can see that someone gives -rep and wrote something like "lol, noob" or something, it's pretty clear to be deleted? Right?

To be exact, SteamTrades has no dedicated support members. The highest ranked SteamGifts support members can respond to tickets related to trade related issues, but other issues they can deal with take higher priority.

I have a ticket from the same thing and that's about 10 months old, I guess that it will be way over a year before support will get to it.

But, but, but..... BUT! How is this possible? Do they need volunteers for Support section? 10 months for ticket O_o

As I always say, there's no support for the steamtrades section, no trade FAQ, nothing to stop the scammers, nothing at all. Steamtrades is the abandoned cousin of steamgifts. :P

The rumor mill has one particular mod basically running the show with the other unwilling to challenge him

Yeah... this is not correct at all. I'm curious as who you think this person is to be honest.

forget steam trade. they got very tough rules. U should do a lot of work to report some one. it could be nice to ask steamgifts to make profiles for scammers reported by us. so we can -rep them.

we should use SG rep instead. the only bad thing about it is the steam user show have been signed in here. it could be fixed by making a profile for anyone(just like steam trades).

As I said before, support won't help. Support helps about giveaway rerolls, requesting giveaway feedback, and similar things. About all the other matters, it may take them months, years, or eternity to answer you - and I'm serious about this.

Yeah, posting every few days won't change a thing. Such tickets are considered low priority compared to issues that effect the whole site, and given only the highest ranked of the support members can answer these, a year or two isn't a bad time for a response to such tickets.

They should be considered high priority though. If it takes us 2 years or something to successfully report a scammer, then why even report him at all - he'll be rich by then? xD

and for each person he scammed he will get -rep on SG (or at least he should). If someone trades with someone else who has multiple -reps, all saying he's a scammer - well this person is at least partially to blame - why would he trade with such a person? And if he didn't know - then his blame as well -always check your traders.

It's not that simple at all. Many scammers can acquire multiple +rep comments before people find out they've been scammed (like when games get revoked), so even if they get 10 -rep, people will keep trading with them. Also, many people are afraid of revenge -rep, so they avoid to -rep scammers. More support members should have the right to look at these tickets.

if someone has +whatever/-10 and you don't check what this -10 is about to see these are all scam warnings - like I said - you are partially to blame

Scammers get hammered fast. False feedback like this topic is about, not at all.

I know what this topic is about. I'm talking in general about the tickets that don't get answered. And you're wrong. I still see some scammers trading, including some that have scammed some friends of mine. I don't see them banned though. :/

Tickets about scammers aren't going to be sit on for years. If there is sufficient proof of wrongdoings, they get the hammer. Proving that a user is a scammer isn't always easy, but someone who repeats those actions will only get more proof against them.

Oh, lol... I made a little research and found that even Moderators have -repped for no reason and no one can find the solution for this.

Proof - Moderator with -rep for no reason. https://www.steamgifts.com/user/SleepyCat/feedback/negative

Sadly i can't ignore it because 2 guys, who were interested to trade with already asked me why i have -rep and what's the story behind that -rep.
