If you want items for Team Fortress 2, you should buy from Steam. That kinda goes without saying.

The items are only available via steam Store I believe.

However, the items are still advertised on the Steam store page:
"Purchase Hero Academy or any team pack and receive a free Hero Academy themed item in TF2!"

I am tempted to get the Gold Pack to get all the items, and if I don't recieve them, a nice long message to steam support will follow as their advertising them not limited to pre-order.
