I've played the second one and got it on PC as well, it's really pretty and if you're using keyboard/mouse it's actually not bad despite the complaints, once I got used to it it was really good, the world is expansive and atmospheric, it's one of my fav games so I'd say definitely get it especially now it's probably going to be cheap.

The first one was very nice. definitely worth playing, it's long the story is nice, and keeps u wanting for more till u clear the whole thing.
the 2nd was comparatively not so good as 1st + it was a bad port to pc but still enjoyable considering the awesome map and story..

Considering the price, I'd say go for it. It might not be available soon, and I've heard WAY more good things about it than bad.
At least get the first game as you can get it very cheap.

Finished 1st one yesterday and started 2nd one. And i can honestly say its good. 1st one is Zelda-like game and its pretty cool, some puzzles at the end are sort of tedious but other than that its good. 2nd one is full fledged action rpg with inventory, stats and all that jazz.
Just important thing, dont play it with pad... it may sounds crazy, but i do play on consoles, im really good with a pad but darksiders are just better with keyboard IMO and as weird as it sounds it was really easier for me to play darksiders when i finally droped the pad and checked keyboard mouse controls

The first one is really awesome, the second one was a bit of a letdown for me, but still not a bad game

First one was amazing. Never played the second, but I assume it's even better.

first one was amazing, second one probably would have been too if it wasn't for all the random bs crashing that went on and screwed me out of multiple achievements that I now have to play from the beginning again to try and get

I only played the second one, but I know the story from the first one quite well.
I felt like the second one it so long that there's a time when it just isn't that fun anymore.
Also, the whole game goes like "Ok I have to talk to this guy who will send me to a bunch of places do random stuff before I can proceed"
And also Soul-Splitter puzzles just...argh

Now that THQ has been sold all ove the place, I am wondering if I should pick up this franchise, especially considering how cheap they can be had. I have never seen anything ranting about them or raving, so I am hoping to read a few opinions that might sway me.
