I REALLY want to get into an MMO right now. I eventually am going to be buying Guild Wars 2 but not to soonish. So I need a F2P MMO to play until then. Cheers! :D

Here's some I know, but are they actually free and good? (I hate pay2win, althrough I'd be okay with Pay4skins)

I see you live the US. So I recommend Aion. Aion and Tera are the 2 best MMORPGs I ever played, they look very nice, they are well polished, they are NOT P2W (or at least paying to win required unjustified amounts of money AND gambling).
I can't play them though, my PC can't handle Tera and the EU version of Aion IS P2W. Since you live in the US, you won't have ping issues on the NA version, just go for it!

i have 5 recruitment codes for those who want to try out this game will give u a recruitpack with all kinds of items [though not sure if it counts as ref links hence i wont post but leave a message here if u want one.] I play Tera casual with some other vanilla wow players atm. And we rlly like the combat system of it but thats just a personal opinion. F2P will usually always have disadvantages compared to WOW but thusfar i havent spent a dime on TERA and still enjoy it.

C1-c4 was great, c5-c6 intensified the grinding, with hb it become a little more casual, and after HB I stopped playing it (eventually it went f2p). I would play it again on an c3 or c4 server, but I don't really like these new versions. I am eager for Lineage3 however. :D

Dont go to Archeage, at least not on EU/USA, Trion did a bad bad job since the beggining of the game (imbalace bugs/hacks without any punish, PAY2WIN) also the endgame its very very poor... (well, thats not Trion fault)

Well, I agree with this. I played 3 months with sub - it was fun at first, but bots and trion pretty much ruined it. I owned an 150gilda house, but I always felt bad for the people who payed sub but couldn't own houses while others had 10 spots. Endgame is boring, and the whole TS tree box thing was a huge slap in the face.

i started playing since the head start, i didnt know anything of the game (my fault) and the guild that i joined at first sight look awesome, but then it was a fail, i could put my 16x16 farm after 2 weeks or so, because with the autohousebuildbot was almost impossible to catch a spot, also with all the teleport hack, the "see anything, even the invisible" hack, the bug that people abused since the first day of use 1 apex infinite times.... TBH i was very dissapointed about this game, maybe i put so many expectation, hoping for a Ultima Online with an improved gameplay....

You can always play in a private server, if you don't mind some bugs or playing in a previous expansion. I do play sometimes in Warmane's Mists of Pandaria and in Ashran's Warlords of Draenor.

If I had some time, I would try getting that token thing to pay the game, but my summer will be studying and working everyday :(

I'd say that you're few years too late to the party.

War Thunder, if you're at all interested in WW2 (+/- 10 years) aircraft and/or tanks. You can choose between arcade, realistic and simulator mode. Arcade is, by far, the most popular.

I play SWTOR (I pay for sub from time to time) for WoW like gameplay and great story and War Thunder for arcade airplane/tank battles.

Tera is pretty much all you need until you start on guild wars 2 though it is a bit grindy but arent most of them. Are you going to get the expansion or classic? If classic they have sales every 2 months, if the expansion they should have deals within 4 months and beyond for the expansion/classic combo, but only accounts before june 16 get a slot (though they will probably let everyone get a slot) There are so many options that you can simply try and remove if you do not like them though some mmos are huge

There is many mmo today ;). But most of them just dont keep players for longer than 50-100 hours. I can reccomend Black Gold. It looks great but its not in my style. Try also Dragon Prophet. The game dont have super graphics but riding and catching dragon is fun. There is also possibility tto mix spells like water +other spell= ice spell. That makes this game a little diffrent than others. The game i am waiting for is Black Desert. Its still in closed beta and only in chinese but the graphics and mechanics look great. :)

Out of all MMOs i ever played, lemme say you ones that i enjoyed and you can as well and those you must stay away:
Enjoyable:
WildStar: Was fun, good action combat system, ins't generic mechanics and good amount of humor.
TERA: Some people don't enjoy it, as they said things like wroser than Guild Wars 2(its one of the best btw), but story and combat system saves it. Expect the EU version which is P2W now. Don't know about Russian one.
World of Warcraft: Loads of content, long endgame and early game, but needs subscription to be played. It has very many features to be worth.
EVE: It may be annoying due to real time learning system, but once you get to it, you eventually like it. And also very serious on losses, so...Its your pick do you like hardcore games or not.
Perpetuum: Somewhat annoying, simillar to EVE, lack of players and some imbalances don't made it goodish, but some systems such as customization forced me to like it....somewhat. Expect the combat which was really hard without friends/groups.
The non enjoyable/was enjoyable:
Firefall: At first, most people's reaction was overwhelmy positive(in 2013), but snice the dev team changed the game itself from being creative into a generic MMO shooter, the game veterans was disappointed and game started slowly dying.
Spiral Knights: Again, just like above one, it got ruined by devs. Actually by new devs. Snice SEGA gotten into the game, it started to slowly...become a paywall for late game unless you was a veteran, but even then its a new grind for everyone, not just new players. Then they started doing updates, which wasn't updates at all, they was just adding tier 5 weapon and armor skins for very high prices AND for any player no matter the skill they are. This added another P2W system.
Well, always check reviews, both old, negative and positive ones to be sure and to see truth hidden on them(if they are upvoted). Have fun.
