is the steam queue thing working for you? it suggests 11 games to select add to wishlist, follow, not interested?

is it supposed to learn from previous selections to show something i might like?

as it doesn't seem to work for me, most of the time it suggests fps, shooter, or those games who i always select "not interested" and it will continue to suggest fps !!!

Steam queue: Listen, I HATE fps, don't ever suggest a game to me if the tags / genre is FPS, capisci !!?

Marking 'not interested' doesn't affect the recommendations, it only hides that particular game from being recommended again. It says so somewhere on a page.

it usually tells you why it is in queue: "this game is in the discovery queue because it is new, high ratings, ..."

I get it. I wish there was a way for me to tell it "Never, ever, under any circumstance, recommend a Visual Novel to me"

the only current way to never get fps on your que is to simply go to every fps and click not interested on it, have fun.

Well, you visited your steam queue, and it showed you an FPS, and as you viewed the storepage of an FPS, that must mean that you like FPSs, right?
This does seem to be at least partially how it works, it looks at what you've viewed in the past and recommends similar games. And as viewing something in your queue will still count, well, you've just invited more FPSs into your life. This is not just a wild guess on my part, I'm basing it on how steam handles its other recommendations, where it will recommend games similar to those viewed in your queue, it will even say something along the line of "Because you recently viewed Quake"

Sometimes I get a game in my queue just because Steam wants to see if I might be interested in it. Most of the times I couldn't care less about that game. Why would I be interested in Ropeway Simulator 2014? I wish there was a way to customize the queue. I don't want to see FPS games, sports games, movies and documentaries in my queue.

Lately I've been having issues with the discovery queue. I keep getting the following error message:
An error was encountered while processing your request:
This item is currently unavailable in your region

Because of that I can't finish my queue, though sometimes, if I happen to check new releases that happened to be in my queue I can continue browsing my queue after that point.
