Which is better(Poll Requires Games to Vote)

Check vs Mate
Chess Knight 2

I suggest reading up on what you need to do to even start up Check vs. Mate (Battle vs. Chess), and your question will be answered fast.

Chess 2 is probably the best Chess variant put to digital form, but the actual game is pretty sloppily put together. Unfortunately, it's not an exception- all the most notable chess programs on Steam (eg, Pure Chess and FritzChess, as well as gimmicky ones like Regimental Chess) currently have some issue or another, with nearly all of them having poor AI and interface. If you find a recommendable one, do let me know. :P

As I recall, CK2 is just another reskinned chess game with animated pieces and little polish or appeal past that. Meanwhile, CvM actually has unique flavor and good appeal, but a really problematic DRM component. I'd really recommend not going for either one.

The best chess is available for free. The best (strongest) engine is https://stockfishchess.org/ and open source. Use it with the a free GUI, like http://www.playwitharena.com/. Or just play against humans on https://www.chess.com/.

Certainly true on the higher skill levels. But you can adjust it from level 0 to 20.

Trade them both and play chess against real people for free on http://www.chess.com. Computers play totally different to the way people do. Against real people, you can ask them for feedback on your play to help you improve. My chess.com account is the same name as my SG account if you wanted a game.
