Hey guys looking for an Anime Movie suggestion for a guy with not alot of time on his hands. What I mean by that is, Id like a suggestion for a very short series, or movie. Something down to earth (not too hard to understand the concept etc)

And to give a general idea of what Im looking for .. Just finished watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time

Thanks in advance :)

Watch Studio Ghibli's movies. They're goddamn amazing.

I think they're boring.

Though one of my friends once said that anyone who is an advocate of war should be mandated to watch Grave of the Fireflies. I completed agreed.

I thought My Neighbor Totoro was pretty boring but I really liked Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.

I hear one's appreciation of Spirited Away shoots up if you are watching in Japanese and understand the cultural / fairy tale references. If they have a version similar to VH1 Pop-Up Video, I'm totally there.

I was just about to recommend The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, actually. If you liked it, how about Summer Wars by the same director?

I don't think I've seen The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, but I do recommend you the 6 ovas from matrix, ANIMATRIX.
I won't say anything about it except that they're awesome and you should check them out, they're also short and very easy to follow.

I was just gonna auggest Toki wo Kakeru shoujo, then I realized it's just the japanese name that you just watched xD

I suggest tokyo magnitude 8.0 even though it's not a movie. It feels like a movie to me 11x22min = 4 hours
Also another one, Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, 6 episodes, but if you watched it continuously, it is like a movie

Avatar is not anime. It's anime-inspired. I LOVED Avatar and highly recommend it to anyone, but I don't think it's the same as what the OP is looking for.

Eve no Jikan Gekijouban. Must watch. It's sci-fi, but you know, the short-term or not-so-far-in-the-future sci-fi which is actually credible. I just can't find the words to describe it properly without over-hyping it: the name pops in my head every time I think about "anime movies".

If you enjoy JRPGs there are few anime movies from PS2 era Final Fantasy, Tales series and Xenosaga at least.

Most of the good movies I know of have been recommended already but you might like these short(ish) series: Gunslinger girl, Last Exile, Ergo Proxy, Shigurui, Wolf's Rain, Elfen Lied

If you love cyberpunk action, watch Akira. Though you might not understand the concept at first. You might want to check out the manga, it's superior to the film.

Redline, Summer Wars, anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Ghost in the Shell 2.0

+1. Some will be more appealing than others, but Studio Ghibli stuff is great overall.

5 Centimeters per Second (Byousoku 5 Centimeter), Bunny Drop (Usagi Drop) and I was going to recommend the Garden of Sinners (Kara no Kyoukai) movies, but they're not exactly easy to understand unless you watch all of them as the timeline has been switched around.

Wolf Children (Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki) is also meant to be good, but I've yet to get around to watch it.

Evangelion 1.0 (or 1.11 as the Blu-ray is called) and of course Evangelion 2.22, one of the best movies in general. Well, okay, I say this as an Evangelion fan, but still, this is a masterpiece.
