First, decide what sort of game you want to develop ("What do I want to build ?").
Then decide on an engine that suits that ("How am i going to build it ?").

Unity is nice and easy, I used it for a little project with my university.
There are a lot of tutorials on unity3d.com/learn/ that are great to learn the basic stuff (they are subtitled, you don't need a prefect english)
Also there are tons of info on the internet.
But it highly depends on what do you want, what do you need, which language do you know, etc...

Depends on what you're planning to make. I think Unreal is the best out of those options but it's hard to use until you get used to the weird ways it works. Unity is rather simple and can do mostly anything. There's always GamerMaker, it's drag and drop coding but kinda limited.
