Personally, I use http://steamdb.info/sales/ to keep track of Steam sales.

I would recommend using steamgamesales.
It's part of the same network as this site.
I like the fact that it doesn't only show you steams sales but its shows steam games on sale on other sites too AND its configurable.

Hello, for those of you who don't make the effort to scroll down and check the "Specials" tab on the Steam Store already, I thought I might as well bring it to your attention that there are often very great deals there.
This Week/Mid-Week/Weekend has a couple notable ones going on at the moment which you may or may not want to take advantage of...
Along with the discounts on Don't Starve and The Witcher Franchise in the Spotlight, and the deal on Insurgency under "Today's Deals" there are also very good deals going on right now for The Gothic Franchise and the Total War Franchise among a few other things which are not really being advertised very well.
If you'd like to check out what else they've got don't hesitate to just scroll down and check out the Specials tab in the Steam Store.
Go ahead and grab some of those sweet deals and either keep them for yourself, or make some giveaways for the less fortunate such as myself.
I may or may not update this in the future, but for the moment just keep your eyes on those discounts.
