It's been ages since I've made a thread on here so I thought I'd share the news that I have a new job. I'm now working at an AMC Movie Theater. It's been a couple weeks and I'm enjoying it so far.

My birthday is also coming up so I'll celebrate with a little giveaway. Figment.

How has everyone been doing? Is there anything new or exciting happening in your life?

Edit: Thank you, everyone, for the replies!

Edit Edit: I'm surprised by the poll. Who knew that crunchy and smooth fans were so divided

Congrats! That's awesome! What's your role at the theater?

Nothing particularly new or exciting in my life, but it's going along pretty well. :)

Thanks! My role is Theater Crew. Basically the ushering, ticket taking, cashier, concessions, the basic stuff.

Cool. I have to ask, does smelling the popcorn all day make you perpetually hungry? :)

definitely, but we are allowed to eat the popcorn on break. I'm sure I'll be sick of it soon :P

My math is absolutely terrible and I've had issues because of that. I know the feeling!

Congratulations! I too worked at a theatre, although it was a while ago but only for a couple years during high school. I actually really enjoyed it since I liked the people I worked with, got free soda/popcorn/nachos, free movies, and it was mainly Friday and Saturday nights when I didn't have much of a social life so it gave me something to do. Enjoy your time there!

Already wrote it in another thread but yes: I've founded my own comedy club, a big dream of mine (I thought it'll take me one or two more years so I still barely believe it). Congrats on your new job, it's great to see you're excited about it :)
Early happy birthday!

Peanut butter is my life force.

My co-worker is from a country where people didn't eat peanut butter and she thinks it is the most disgusting thing ever. That just leaves more for me!

In my life I am preparing to move in a couple weeks, it's stressful but exciting as well because it is a move to a bigger place.

Happy early birthday and best of luck at the new gig!

Same here lol

In my life I am preparing to move in a couple weeks,

Congrats! It sucks having to move everything out and then in again. Then all the unboxing and settling in. But at least it's a better place. Hope you enjoy it!

Congrats and good luck:! I'm sure you'll do fine. Don't let nerves get to you.
Nothing very new for me yet this year but the talks about starting a family are increasing so maybe the year will end very different in a good way.

Crunchy, just like my personality.

My plans to take over the world have been thwarted once again due to people acting more superior to me. They're delusional.

ooo congrats on your job! It sounds way cooler than mine :P

My sister's fiance just had laser eye surgery and it worked great for him. I'm waaaay too scared to try it but he is very happy with the result. Good luck with it, I'm sure it'll work out great!

That's all interesting stuff to know. I wouldn't do it just because I'm too freaked out about seeing the surgery because it's in my eye. Ugh, I'm not a fan of doctors or anything medical. I also think most cases it goes great. Good luck!
