It's been ages since I've made a thread on here so I thought I'd share the news that I have a new job. I'm now working at an AMC Movie Theater. It's been a couple weeks and I'm enjoying it so far.

My birthday is also coming up so I'll celebrate with a little giveaway. Figment.

How has everyone been doing? Is there anything new or exciting happening in your life?

Edit: Thank you, everyone, for the replies!

Edit Edit: I'm surprised by the poll. Who knew that crunchy and smooth fans were so divided

Congrats on the new job. And early happy birthday. So do you get to watch movies for free? Or like discount on food and drinks there?

Yep! I get to watch movies for free and bring a free guest with me. As long as I am out of uniform and the movie is not close to being sold out.

I also get a free large popcorn and drink. The rest of the food isn't free but I get a big discount (around 50% I think.)

Definitely a great benefit!

Big congrats, and glad you like the new job. :3
I actually have an AMC Stubs card, but I rarely have time to go see movies anymore. I might go see Glass tomorrow, though.

I like all peanut butter, but most often on toast with a touch of cinnamon.

Thanks! Hope you enjoy Glass. I've heard mixed things about it but since you have AMC stubs then it's worth checking out.

I've never tried it on toast or with cinnamon. You've given me a new idea :O

Thanks for the gib, happy birthday whenever that is, and congrats on the new job! People working in movie theaters sometimes get to keep movie posters and such, right? Hopefully you'll be able to get something nice to take home =)

Thanks! I'm not sure about the free movie posters. That's a good question though I'll bring that up.

First of all, thanks!

Second of all, it depends; while peanut butter does not amaze me, I like both, but it certain things go better with one or the other. For example, the peanut butter cookies I usually make get super oily if there's anything in them, so you have to bake them too long, and they get rock hard; smooth for that, naturally. I will say, though, that I'm so glad they started calling it crunchy peanut butter; there is NOTHING appetizing about the word, chunky.

How we're doing is a roller coaster: lots of bad stuff, some really good stuff, and we're in a valley right now, but hey, at least our furnace isn't actively trying to kill us anymore, so that's a plus.

lmao I agree. Crunchy sounds way more appealing.

Hope things get better and stay good for you!
