Seems like game "devs" upped their game from including cards to including cards AND shitloads of achievements :\

Works, since it has 15000+ sold, meaning they already have a sizeable profit on it, even without the card transaction money.

It is being sold for stupid cheap on plati so I'm betting a bunch of copies were bought there.

Cards are still main selling point, looking at density + price in this one.

That's a huge nope from me. The discount is terrible for a bundle, at 90% off, and I think there are 2 games in there that I would even touch with a bargepole. Don't let the number of games fool you, this is not a good deal.

Ditto. Don't touching this one either. Maaaaaaaaaaybe for collectors, but otherwise, stay away from this one.

It's still good for amount of games acquired users.

If you just count raw number of games, sure, but if you count the value of the games (and heck, look at these games, the lowest price they're likely to have, which will be about 90% off on steam), it's just not a good deal.

There's Happy Hour for this bundle, that's what I was referring to.

1.1 USD most likely, hence still good deal at that price. At full price bundle, I agree it's not a good deal.

The games I'm interested in cost about the same as the whole bundle, so no thanks. And I'd rather not sully my steam account with 'filthy achievement-hunter simulator 2017'. I may only have 8000 achievements, but I did at least do some work for most of them. :-D

Well I guess when your game sucks you have to compensate with something to give people any reason to buy it, and I guess so far it's working...

Monthlies are quite hard to keep away from a they generally nice (and can be sold easily for at least buying price) but to be honest the recent quality of groupees I bought like 2 bundles from the past 3-4 months from them :\ doesn't even worth a preorder unless someone goes for the highest possible game count.

Probably buying it on a group buy for Clock Simulator and Polygon Attack.

It's been like that for a week now with IG for me... it's a problem on their end that seems to happen for the first hour or two of a new bundle as their server load increases.

I just come back and try again in an hour.

Again, I wonder if Shobo will bundle this one as it's only ~90.5% off retail. Seems likely he will.

Calculate in happy hour price as well. That is what really pushes IndieGala bundle prices down.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ah, right-- of course. I guess there's a pattern for which bundles get a Happy Hour and which ones don't?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Typically, the bundles with one tier don't get Happy Hour.
I can't think of a two tier bundle (outside some of the bigger $10+ bundles) that hasn't had a Happy Hour.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Good to know-- thank you, Sir.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

There used to be. Now, all of the bundles get happy hour. The few exceptions are when they do a "bundle" similar to Bundle Stars, just a store item being discounted and ending up on some of the bundle alerts.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. Just watched the videos and they totally look like mobile games.

I think the only reason why someone would buy this is because they're either collecting games and simply grab anything and everything or because of the cards but I also told myself that I'm done with mindlessly buying bundles just because. That's $2.40 (including the Paypal transaction fee) that I can put aside for a game that I actually want to play.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Do I even need to look at anything other than the prices in the table and the plethora of games at $3 or less to know that the bundle is chock full of shovelware? I think not. They should rename to Indie Ga-rbage

This is a bad bundle. And yet I wanted to buy it for some reason. Guess what: "Indie Gala Paypal problem". I feel like they don't even try it anymore. Support isn't answering my emails for some unknown reason either. I was able to buy Hump Day Bundle #33 but all my attempts to buy the Friday Slaughter Bundle failed. It seems for all Friday bundles their payment processing code has a bug in it and they refuse to acknowledge it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Meh, I found my own way around their stupid bug. Good thing I have an eye for corner cases. Their bug is idiotic at best. But I shouldn't have to hack my way around when attempting to buy something from an online store.

found my own way around their stupid bug

May tell us the secret?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It's simple. The bug occurs when you set the amount to the minimum value for Tier 2. If you top that value, the order goes through. If it's equal to the minimum Tier 2 value the order is rejected by Indie Gala. So it's basically a > instead of >= mistake. I may go further and speculate they check for less than Tier 2 minimum value for Tier 1 and greater than Tier 2 minimum value for Tier 2 but I don't have access to their code so I don't know how messy it is.

However this occurs only in certain cases (for certain bundles) which might be an indication they have a number of conditionals in place, one/some of which having this issue.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Wrong. I put 2,50$ instead of 2,49$ and I'm getting the same error. So it's not that "simple" after all cause you're wrong.

Edit: I put 2,51$ and it went through.

Permalink

And not even a thanks? How ungrateful of you! :)

Permalink

Well, you were wrong :D Minimum is 2,49. I put 2,50 twice and it didn't go through.

And yet my solution to an unknown problem without seeing the code worked. Ungrateful, like I said :P.

I don't remember about warmth since it was a long time ago, but it was not the nice fluffy coloured wool you buy in specialized stores. It was raw wool directly from the sheep cause my grandparents lived in a village. My grandma spun it herself.
