My math has become quite rusty in the last decades, so I had to cheat and built myself some formulae in Excel to get the work question done for Q3 :)
Edit: Cheating in the sense of: many small parts instead of some tidy integration.

What do you think about the second season of tokyo ghoul? The first season I think was alright (loved the last episode), but the second I didn't really enjoy.

i agree, speaking of second seasons i'm really hyped for AoT S2 and Boku no Hero Academia S2(yes i know they are shonen), i'm looking forward for S3 of tokyo ghoul(season 1 was Anteiku allied, season 2 aogiri, guess season 3 he becomes CCG membmer) this is just me speculating things, no manga so no spoilers pl0x :D.

Just watched the first episode of attack on titan last night an I gotta admit, I couldn't get the ending out of my head. The thing is I haven't watched the first season in a long time so I forgot how brutal the anime can be and how characters can die at any time. Probably gonna rewatch the first season before continuing on with the second.
The only 3rd season I'm hyped for rn is Code Geass's.

so you say seinen stuff but all I'm seeing is gore series.
Long and short of it what I recommend cause I like the series are baccano and darker than black..
other than that lets see if all you care about is haveing an action gore series (most of the stuff you put looks closer to shonen to me) then the other popular ones are Deadman's wonderland (if you actually care about plot you'll be disappointed cause it ends on a cliffhanger and has no season 2), Black Bullet, Elfin lied, Future Diary, Blood + (kinda boreing for most of it but some of the most intense gore scenes), Another etc.
if you're not just an action junky then Shiki was pretty good and Higurashi was absolutely amazing (if you just wan't edgier shonun stuff than you probably won't like them)
also if you really mean seinen (I'm not trying to sound condescending I swear) then Welcome to the NHK was great adult drama dealing with a NEET
uh also more shonuny but as you said you're hyped for boku no hero a really really underated series is zettai karen children the unlimited - hyoubu kyousuke

i watched deadman's wonderland(liked it), elfen lied was okay'ish(i'm not looking for gore stuff but the ones mentioned above have good storyline imo, Shiki was really good i recall seeing it not too long ago(the opening of the first season was addictive).
mirai nikki has been on my to be watched for some time now, gonna give higarashi a chance, almost forgot to mention welcome to the NHK was really good, watched it twice maybe.

your ratio is just fine :P also include expressing interest in railgun S (my favorite series) and you deserve a WL.
as for what its about...
its a spin off of to aru majutsu no index (to aru kagaku no railgun is its full name or "A Certain Scientific Railgun")
basically index is set in a world where there's magicians with a bunch of (religious) magic and science with sci-fi/superpowered stuff (espers)
Now Index is more well known but I don't actually like it as much because its entirely a shonun series. it follows a villain of the week formula where every few episode theres a new villain (Evil Alchemist, Group of scientists, the entirety of the roman catholic church) and while the effects are kinda cool and some of the plotlines are interesting it comes off as mediocre in my opinion.
so people start watching index beacause its the parent story then ignore railgun cause they didn't like it that much.
railgun is the spin off that focuses on the science side and has to deal with all the stuff having to do with them.
season 1 is a slice of life series with little to no plot-line but its still enjoyable and it helps provide backstory for characters (how they first met etc)
Season 2 (railgun S) is a whole other story however because it adapts the Sister's arc and its full of action, drama, character's slowly breaking down asfkljldsa. I tell everyone to watch the first arc of railgun S if they can because of how good it is (well subjectively I'm completely biased so ill say its...good) the problem is the second half of the series goes back down to a similar feel as the first series and that turn's people off as there isn't any gore to keep them entertained.

The Toaru series is so good, I'm really into it. I think Railgun in the manga is getting better and better and still waiting for it to have a season 3 but there is no any news now :(
