But that's for installed games.
So, like, I have both Bulletstorm and Dead Space on Origin. Bulletstorm is installed, so it gets it's exe linked. But if I want Dead Space, I'd have to install it. The goal is to be able to see games like Dead Space in Big Picture or the Library, but not have to keep them installed to do so.

Just use any old .exe but change the icon and name.

I'm thinking of actually going through and putting in steam shortcuts for all my external (Origin, Uplay, Retail) games. I'm wondering if anyone here makes shortcuts for games that aren't installed. What do you link to in that case? The relevant client? Then what about non-client games?
If I end up doing this, I'll likely whip up a "hello world" style program to placehold things that are either DRM-free or retail, I'm just wondering what others do.
