Wait two more days, then bring it back to your inventory and ask support for a reroll. I prefer adding people on Steam when they've won for this reason. I talk to them a little and know they're around to accept when I send them gifts.

How would that exploit anything? If they mark as received before they receive it, they're idiots, first off. Secondly, if you reroll, it's like the first winner never existed. What could possibly be exploited about it? If have no idea what you were getting at here.

Look at it this way: first winner would have the game marked as received in SG but didn't collect it on steam, which means if the contributor rerolled and another winner was selected (which would than mark the gift as received aswell) it would possibly count twice instead of once to the contributor?
This was my point, it's kinda confusing yes, but it all depends if rerolling would affect on marking the gift as received or not. Since i'm not sure.

You should wait for 7 days and then contact support if the problem persists, I don't see any other solution. Haven't happened to me yet, but I have been thinking ever since I gave my first gift that I could easily just take it back. I could take a screenshot of the gift after I have sent it and then take it back. Who could prove against me?

Try contacting the guy.
I know plenty of people who simply don't check their e-mail and he might not notice the green thingy showing he got a gift.

It shows as green when you win a giveaway. And it's not really that hard to check your e-mail or Steam daily. If it is, well, you don't really deserve that game, do you?

7 days. I had this happened TWICE to the SAME giveaway. I gave out 2 copies, sent them to winners, they MARKED IT AS RECEIVED, but never redeemed. Opened a support ticket and got them banned.

Banning people for stupidity. YEAH! Cleanse the internets!

The official rules are that you have to redeem anything you receive -- to prevent reselling and so on. It's a banning offense to do otherwise. They marked as redeemed, so they didn't miss their winning, they just didn't accept it, which is against the rules.

First time this has happened, someone won my giveaway for Limbo, and I've sent it through Steam to their email address, but they haven't accepted it? I don't mean they haven't marked it as received on SteamGifts, they haven't even accepted the gift into their inventory/library. I.e., I could take it back into my inventory.
It's only been 5 days, but how long should I wait? Has this happened to other people? What's the longest anyone's ever taken to accept their gift?
