I'm watching Lupin the Third but I'm still jealous as hell.

This anime was among the best for me.

Its nearly impossible for me to get something like that where i live, i managed to get the Evangelion DVD set a year ago, but it was so expensive i fear to buy something similar.

Right now i'm looking at the possibility to buy Akira on BD if its available, anyone knows about it?

I loved this series. That was my Christmas present years ago. The US release box set (the original, not remastered). Silly thing is it came with a soundtrack disc which I already had the Japanese version of, so now I have the same album twice, one printed in English, one printed in Japanese.

Steve Blum is the greatest voice actor to ever live. If you disagree you are wrong and mad.

I didn't really care for it, should have went for a more serious tone. I found too much comedy killed it. 1-3 good episodes but overall I thought meh.

EDIT : Oh! Yes I did like most of the music. Still have some on my ipod (some from the movies too).
