oh i know, worked since i was very young, got very sick of **** bosses, Because my constructive criticism belittled them.
I was better at the job than the guy hiring me, so im biding my time and saving up...Not far away from my own business now. Its been 12 years though.

My first interview was at the primate center. I accidentally took a wrong turn and was lost for about 30 minutes swearing profusely at myself. I finally got there, rushed out of the car and completed my interview. I then realized that I was so stressed that I left my car on, with the keys in the ignition, and the doors locked. Luckily one of my windows was down low enough for me to unlock the door. So.. I guess just don't do that.

Lol wow, thats tough mate XD So how did your interview go? I'm assuming you were late to it since you were lost for about 30minutes?

I was a bit late yeah but the interview actually went pretty good. My schedule didn't really fit the job though unfortunately.

A phrase that almost always proves true, a job is a job. You are making money and showing you are mature and responsible. If anyone puts you down for it I would imagine mommy and daddy probably pay their way through life.

True, but in the world we live in not many want to actually work sure i can earn more from government benefits than from working but well its demeaning, i like to be able to go look at me, I am working hard.

I used to work in management and interviewed/hired a lot of people. Here's some tips:
Dress up nice/professional (yes, even for fast food), don't chew gum, smile, do not wear cologne or perfume, be polite, and be confident. When answering questions, don't give half-assed answers like "maybe" or "sort of," give definite yes or no answers. Ask general questions about the company (ie: be talkative, show interest in the job and/or learning about the job). Do not bring up salary, let them start the conversation about it. I strongly suggest showing up 10 minutes before you're interview - that's the ideal time, and do not be late. Good luck!

You've provided some really good tips! I'll make sure to follow them tomorrow. Thanks!!

LOL, my first interview job was kinda fun, I had know someone in the job post that give me a indication, I talked to him before going to the interview to get indication papers, and she said like "Oh they will get you, they already got three guys off after first month, say to them that you'll be the last guy I'll send for the job" so I was like thinking "WTF? I'll not say that for my future boss on my first job interview!". After some late paycheck problems I leaved the place three month after, but was a nice first job experience XD

The guy doing the interview is just wanting to check out that you aren't the worst bum in the world or don't have any weird oddities about you. Once you get the interview stage they simply want to see that the person is "normal".
So simply be quiet enough, don't boast, don't be an ass, be polite, smile. Don't talk over your level of competence and try to relax as this interview probably isn't that much in a corporate environment and more of a sit together with a employer in his office area and talk type of gig.
Also don't lie (a lot) if you are asked about stuff you would like would be better. They have probably gone through a lot of employer talks and typically humans have quite similar ticks that give away lies and lie about similar stuff be it work experience or own abilities so employers are quite fast at noticing these kind of stuff. They usually just brush it off as people lie for good reasons though, meaning they want a job or don't like to get embarrased.
Also hygiene, make sure you smell good, have clean clothes, polished nails etc.
Another thing is listen, listen listen and don't interrupt. Don't try to catch the talker at mid sentence thinking where the question is going. Talking might be important during an interview but listening is just as important and much easier to do so just be comfortable and listen to what people are saying.
Most importantly relax, be friendly and calm. People say these things to others all the time and you always think what stupid things to say, of course these things are logical but once you are on the spot and a little panicky as you are in a new place and seeing new people common stuff gets thrown out of the window. So remember basics of how to human. :)

Yea, I know, not the best place to work at/start off but I had a friend that could hook me up with an interview there so I decided why not? So any words of advice, encouragement, or even stories of your own experiences of working that you would like to share? :o
EDIT: Thanks for all the feedback guys! Alas, I need to get off and get some sleep to be ready for tomorrow, so i sadly won't be able to respond to your comments until sometime tomorrow. Wish me luck! And enjoy yourselves :)
*EDIT: Well, i got the job :) Sorta~ Lol i pretty much aced the interview, now all i need is to go to orientation, with all the needed paperwork, and i will be officially a McDonalds employee. So thanks again to all of those that gave me feedback!!
